Ok, first of all, I need to say that I have been infertile for unknown reasons for 10 long years!This specific product (ovulation & HCG test strips) are the exact brand and ONLY brand I have been using for so many years now. I trust this brand and the dollar tree $1.00 test, more than any other brand out there, being that I've done my research on every name brand and a handful of Amazon brands. Certain test pick up a certain amount of hcg. If your looking for something to pick up levels as low as 5 in your hcg levels. This IS your pick. So if your one of those buyers who stated that it gave you false positives, understand that because this test picks up hcg as early as 1-2 weeks, and also that NON PREGNANT women can easily carry 5 mlu. It's natural within our bodies to carry at the most 5 mlu when we are not pregnant. So non pregnant your levels will be from 0 to 5When pregnant, your level will be from 5+ and way on up there.So if your getting what you think is a false positive, it could be that your carrying 5mlu levels of hcg, which is NORMAL, and your EXTREMELY FAINT "almost not visible" line is there because of that. ORRR when our urine crosses the window, an indent will occur where the purple line would normally be if you were pregnant. But since your not pregnant, your looking at the test to damn close and your seeing an indent line thinking your seeing a line. Trust me, I have been there and done that!!!!!! To many times.So remember, this test is super sensitive and your going to need to take a test strip at THE SAME TIME everyday, lining one test below the other, day by day, so you can keep track and see your lines gradually turn darker by the days.Remember, you can miscarry very early and not even know it, and only get faint lines and then the line disappears and your thijnking it was false.Ok, now for the ovulation test strip.First of all, you should be taking a test strip the day after your periods ends, every single day until you start your period again, just so you can kinda see how your ovulation occurs. When it occurs and note your ovulation time frame.Now listen, from the very day you start your ovulation test strips, remember this, YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE A SECOND PURPLE LINE ON YOUR TEST STRIP!!!!! IT DOES NOT, I REPEAT, IT DOES NOT MEAN POSITIVE! If your taking then everyday, you should be lining them up, one day underneath another days strip so you can see the lines gradually get darker day by day until finally the test line is darker than the control line. Or the same color two lines. That means POSITIVE. A few days before it gets to it's darkest color, you will see it getting darker about 4 days -/+ some, before the actual day you ovulate. You will want to have sex those days. This occures between 10-14 -/+ days after the last day if your period. So be sure your lining them up.One last thing!!! Once you dip your test strip into your iron for the max amount of time, LAY IT DOWN! AND DONT TOUCH IT FOR 5 MINUTES. You absolutely have to give it time to finish processing. If you don't, your purple dye will RUN down the strip and you will not know if it's positive or negative. And you will claim that it was a faulty test when in fact it was not faulty, you just picked it up and messed it up yourself.I've been there and done that also, to many times.I've done it all. I've torn test apart, put them back together, dipped them in many things and even added extra dye trying to experiment and figure different test out. Just don't flippen touch the test for 5 flippen minutes, is all I'm saying. Understand how ovulation works and the different amounts of hcg levels if your really that interested. I did.By the way...I just had a miscarriage at 12 weeks pregnant. I stopped trying just 2 months prior to getting pregnant because after 10 years, it gets tiring and the emotions that come with it are very draining.Anyway, after my miscarriage 3 weeks ago. I I'd to keep track of my hcg levels by taking a hcg test strip every day as well as an ovulation test to see when it be ovulating again. I got a faint positive after my test just went negative 2 1/2 weeks after my miscarriage, so I went to my obgyn who did a sonogram and said I was 2 weeks pregnant.....wow!Fact for you: the reason my ovulation test are positive are because an ovulation test can pick up hcg in your urine earlier than a pregnancy test can. But if you try that purposely, you may get confused thinking your ovulating or about to.Last fact: you can have a period while pregnant. I did for three months. I don't know all the lingo of the "TTC" world, but I can tell you these DO work, and they work well! Since having our first child, my cycles are longer (about 33 days). These have made it so much easier, and have taken the guess work out of knowing when I'm ovulating.On the second month of wholeheartedly trying, we conceived with the help of these strips. Unfortunately, the pregnancy wasn't viable, and we lost it very early on. Now, with the doctor's ok, we are right back to trying again. I wasn't sure since losing this last one that I would return to my now regular schedule, and these confirmed that I did; thus one big thing keeping me at ease in this whole (surprisingly stressful) process.On that pregnancy, I also used the HCG strips at 13 days post-ovulation.. which is technically about a day or 2 early for those who have the standard length cycle (Per the instructions, it detects the hormone as early as 1 day after the missed period.), but for me that was about 5 days early. However, it still gave the faintest positive!! I tested again that day with another HealtyWiser strip AND a ClearBlue, and both came up positive! It's hard to tell on the pictures, but the line got slightly darker on the days following, then began to lighten and disappear as I began/went through my miscarriage.I have ordered this set twice now. The number of strips is plenty to last 2 or 3 months, easily. This is by far the best, most affordable option if "TTC".EDITED TO ADD:They work so well that I was able to get pregnant again right away. I've been using opks and hpts for 10 years now, but this was my first time trying these tests. I gave them a try because of the good price for 100 tests and they'd arrive sooner than my normal go-to brands.I used the hpts first. They're small, but they were accurate. I wasn't pregnant and these tests gave me negatives. No evaps, no indents. No confusion, just crystal clear results. They were actually better than First Response, which gave me horrid evaps and indents this cycle.At first I thought the opks didn't work because I had the same faint line since my period ended. But, by cycle day 10, they were much darker. On cycle day 11, I had a clear positive with this brand and another brand. I know a lot of people had issues with theirs. I did have 1 streaky test but that was from holding it up instead of laying it flat. Using these as directed made them work perfectly!! I started using the LH strips this cycle which showed a very clear positive by cycle day 14! I know you're not supposed to but being curious about my body I continued to use them. I started testing for hcg very early at 7 days past ovulation/cycle day 22. On 9 days past ovulation I got my first very faint but unmistakable positive (I also took a first response and I had to shine a light and tilt the test to find the line that was clearly visible on the strip). At 10DPO it was an even clearer darkening positive and I could also get a clear first response and clear blue digital. At 11DPO it is blazing positive!! These tests work and work well when you use them as directed! I received 50 LH strips and 49 HCG but how can I even be upset by that when they're so affordable?
