I bought this because the lotion that I wanted that's made by the same company is apparently discontinued. The original lotion I wanted was 25% Shea butter and had a wonderful scent. I'm not a fan of lavender so I went with the unscented. I can't tell a huge difference between the 10% I just purchased and the 25% Shea butter lotion I loved so I'm content. I do miss the wonderful fragrance of the other though. This lotion truly is unscented. Some unscented lotions still have some faint smell but this lotion is completely void of any fragrance. The consistency is that of a slightly whipped butter. It glides easily over your skin and leaves a bit of a protective layer after rubbing it in. This layer feels just slightly waxy. After applying it at night, I can still feel it the next day so the protection lasts.I have skin that tends toward oiliness so this is a little too rich for my entire body. Pre de Provence 10% Shea Butter Body Butter - UnscentedThis is such a luxurious body butter.Leaves my skin feeling so smooth soft after I apply it.Nice creamy texture that is not greasy to me at all.My hands tend to get a bit dry during winter months but not so with this wonderful body butter.Nice sized container that is easy to dispense.I have severe allergies that doctors have yet to figure out.With this unscented formula it is easy on my nose and I have not had any issues at all.I can smell something but so faint and it is rather pleasant almost fruity but again very light.This is great for my daughter as well. I love this stuff! I tried the unscented version, and of course it has a smell. Just with no added scents. So its natural smell is just a clean sort of smell. Unobtrusive. It works really well on my skin. Especially my hands, elbows and forehead, all of which seem to be some of the driest parts of my body. Best of all, the body butter doesn't wash away the same as my usual lotions. I am constantly washing my hands at work, and usually a lotion's effect wears off quickly.
