i ordered these to help me organize the top shelf on my stand-alone closet. The boxes are longer than they are wide which just what I needed to maximize the depth of my shelves. The fabric on these feel more upscale than the cheap cubes you buy at Walmart. I used to stack all my sweatshirts on the top shelf and when I wanted one I would have to pull it down from the top shelf (a bit of a stretch for me) and when I would do this the whole stack of sweatshirts would come falling down on me. Now I can reach up and pull a single box down, remove the sweatshirt I want and then put the box back up on the shelf. These bins are wonderful! The quality and texture are great. Beautiful color also. I searched high and low to find bins that were sturdy enough to hold up the weight of the contents. Most bins indicated that they would store blankets etc. My purpose was for glass and crystal plates, platters and bowls I rarely use to entertain with to be neatly hidden in a small outdated kitchen. Love the look of these. As other reviews mention they are a brownish gray. They do have a smell when first opening, but I haven’t noticed it in the room. One of the 3 had a wrinkled area on the front and back. It might flatten out over time, but not a huge deal. Read more

These boxes may seem pricey, but they're worth every penny. They're extremely sturdy, and the steel handles are a dream. No flimsy fabric handles to tear off. They're also larger than most standard boxes, and can hold a great deal. Stacking them... no problem-o. They're strong and can stack up quite high without the sides or fabric deforming. I'm particularly fond of the jute.Just don't mistake Prandom's floral fabric boxes for these; they're not anywhere the same strength and sturdiness of the jute or linen. Read more

Love the color! Wish the were a little sturdier. As big as they are it's easy for the items inside to create a less retangle shape. Would help if the lid was deeper...it's only an inch tall, which works more as a cover than a functional lid that could help maintain the shape of the bin. There's a bit of a smell at first, but it wasn't terrible and seems to have faded away. The handles on the long sides/front-back look nice but as far as functionality would be better on the short sides as that's how people tend to carry bins. Read more

After watching Marie Kondo's netflix show, I was trying to find ways to store items around the house. This box ended up being the right size for storing away my 3yo daughter's puzzles. I had thought about getting a rack but felt like a box was best in case a puzzle piece fell out. I like these. I really do. But if I'm being honest, they're not perfect.They are basically fabric. Very soft and flexible. No rigidity at all. And I understand the need for the bottom to be foldable so you can collapse it but the bottom is so thin I fear that it may rip.I ordered these to put away some old magazines I had laying around. It's heavy and I'm afraid to lift them because I don't want the books to rip through the bottom. So I have to rate this low on sturdyness and durability.Also the lid just pops off, especially when the sides bow out the lid isn't rigid enough to hold it in shape. And it's not sturdy enough to sit on, this isn't an ottoman even though it looks like it could be.Lastly the metal rings that are in the handle holes. They feel plastic but its very thin cheap metal. They are fastened by a few tabs that fold into itself which creates a seam right where the center line is so it's not smooth or comfortable to hold.With all that being said, I like the look, and if you're just going to set this in the corner and never carry it, it will do the job. I’ve purchased the medium size twice now because they fit so perfectly in Billy bookshelves. Super easy to assemble; just unfold, pop in the base piece, and put on the lid. The base fits in quite snugly, so you don’t need to worry about things slipping under it.In the shelf, it’s holding miscellaneous electronics and gaming accessories. The stacked ones are holding yarn, so I’m not sure how they would hold up stacked like that with heavy contents.I don’t have kids so I’m not sure how well they would hold up for kids toys and rough handling from the small humans, but I don’t see them failing any time soon with low-impact use.The only thing I can think of to improve them would be a place to have labels, or you’ll need to find ones that can stick onto the cloth if you want to use labels.Overall, excellent purchase! I purchased these boxes a few weeks ago. Easy to assemble, durable, looks good but I can’t use them. They have a horrible, horrible smell that I can’t get rid of!!! I’ve used bounce sheet and have left them out in the open to air out but the smell is still there. So disappointed…. May have to garbage them…. Read more
