I have one of those Hollywood vanity lights sitting on a desk type table with a long front drawer. This style station was so handy to attach to the lip of the drawer and it holds my flat iron, curling iron, and my styling tools in a handy and efficient solution. So while all of these things are great, I had read reviews that putting your hot appliance in the holder will melt and ruin it so though that was disappointing I still found the storage aspect useful. Well fast forward to recently (about 7 months after purchase) to me needing to vacuum under my makeup desk which I do once a week. I went to lift the style station off of the drawer so the chords of my appliances were out of my way and part of my hand felt the sting of a hot curling iron!! Turns out my 400 degree curling iron had been ON and in the station for an entire week! When I lifted the hot iron out the only damage to the style station is where the heated metal handle was resting on the the plastic at the top of the station. It has a "slight" melted spot now but I considered that a blessing and a miracle given the circumstances! I purchased this item because it looked like it is a nice solution to the hair dryer and iron laying around on the bathroom sink. Although it has been a good space saver, 2 months into using it I noticed that the screws underneath were rusting and leaving marks on the marble. To remedy that, I put rubber covers on the screws but a few months later the metal body mesh is rusting too and it started to leave marks on the sink again.I gave it 2 stars because it is a good space saver and if mounted on a wall, it may be a good solution but the fact is that when you make a product that will be introduced to steam and wet conditions daily, I expect you would use stainless steel metal parts.If you are going to rest this on top of your sink, you should look for something else. As an organizer, I really like it. For holding hot tools that are cooling down, I'm disappointed. The plastic definitely would start melting with a hot curling iron inside it. I know this cause I tested it with my hot curling iron and it made a small dent in the plastic after holding it on there for a few seconds. I imagine if I left it in there for any length of time, I'd come back to find a fire hazard. I'm gonna maybe invest in a silicone wrap for it so it can be used the way I intended so I don't have hot hair tools hanging out on the counter when I'm done with them. Read more

There are those days when you come across something you didn't know you needed. This item has fit the bill for me. I have a very small bathroom and not a lot of storage space or wall space and this gadget does the trick by being able to hang it on my towel rack beside my sink. I have everything right beside me and when company comes over I can stow it away in my bedroom. It's VERY sturdy and I dig the ventilation for my flat iron. It’s hard to find good storage solutions for hair dryers if you don’t have deep enough drawers in your bathroom vanities, and let’s face it - some of us don’t have the best track record with NOT dropping our hair dryers on the tile. After my nice hair dryer, ahem, spontaneously broke its wires when it took a tumble and I replaced it with a nicer one at a nice bite to my wallet, I began searching for something to hold my setup - hair dryer, straightener, and curling iron - that would sit on my vanity counter and not look too terrible. Is it gorgeous? Not really, but it’s organized, clean, and heat resistant. My big issue is the tiny pocket on the back that they think will hold three appliance cords - how quaint! I’d almost rather have a wider cord pocket with separator pieces to keep the three cords separate so that they don’t get tangled and all fall out any time I grab one of them. Haven’t found a workaround yet for that, but I’m sure I will sometime (maybe a tiny power strip 3M stripped on the pocket and keep them all plugged in, just unplug the power strip for added safety when I’m not using it? Some kind of cord collector things around each bundle? IDK). The towel bar holder doesn’t help me so it just gets in the way, but it would’ve worked well in my previous bathroom so I get why it’s there. I’d honestly rather have a box with the same kind of holders that could hide the cords but I haven’t seen anything like that so this is the perfect solution for now. Read more

So far this caddy is great. Holds my dryer and flat iron. The only concern I have, the back seems to be a sort of thin plastic where it attaches to the wall. So if and excessive weight was put on, it might snap. But there should never be excessive weight, so there shouldn't be too much of an issue. Read more

I needed a unit to store my hair tools & thought this would fit the bill.I was a little disappointed my blow dryer was too large to fit in the larger middle slot. However, my Xtava curling wands & Vanity Planet flat iron are housed perfectly.I love the option to sit on a flat surface or hang.I purchased another Polder Style Station with two large slots with the hopes my blow dryer will fit. I use it exactly as pictured though I hang it over the side of a bathroom shelving unit next to my sink/vanity. The "hook" or "clip" to hang it over the side of a cabinet drawer, or in my case: the arm of a shelving unit, makes it practical without causing structural damage where you hang it. Helps clear space off the vanity for other items. Storage pocket behind the main compartments for cords works well for brushes if you have retractable cords on your hair dryer. Read more

Keeps my hairdryer straightener and curler nice and tidy and beats having to use several heat mats to store them. No more clutter. Only downside the cables well not even one fits in the cable storage but it’s still a million times tidier than before. Read more

Nice to organise things but there isn’t enough space in the back compartment for all the wires. I ended up threading them down to the plug behind the table and just using the back compartment for hairbrushes. None the less, it’s a neat organiser. Read more
