Too small!! The shaft is not long enough for a set of curlers. It tips over and curlers fall out. Not a secure holder. Would not purchase again for anything long. However, I have found other uses for it in my bathroom. It's great for storing hair pins, when you want to pin your hair up, before you get into the shower. This was a gift for my wife. The sleeve works wonderfully. The black part is soft rubber and has spacers inside to help the straightener/curler cool quickly once it's turned off. You can just put the straightener/curler straight into this thing right after you use it so you don't have to set it on your bathroom counter and risk touching it or burning anything nearby. Since there is a generous gap between the hot device and the outside edge of the sleeve, you can wrap the power cord around the outside of the sleeve without worrying about it getting melted. I'm not a big fan for 2 reasons. 1) its a pain unwinding the cord for each use, 2) The heat protective shaft is not long enough to cover the entire length of the heated portion of a curling or flat iron, so I still cannot put in my suitcase immediately after use for fear it will burn or melt something. This caddy solved a problem for me near perfectly. It provides a neat, safe way to store a curling iron between uses. I do let the iron cool down a bit before using this storage sleeve. But this is so much better than when I left the iron to cool down totally before putting it away - and ended up stepping on the long cord dangling from the vanity counter, which sometimes made the curling iron fall to the floor. This thing is cool! I pack a bag every week to go stay with my boyfriend and usually have to keep my straightener away from everything while it cools down. I'm always worried I'll burn something or myself when I bring it with me. But when I put the silicone holder on, it keeps the straightener enclosed but vented, allowing it to cool down on its own and I can basically throw it in any bag without worrying that it will burn through anything. Plus it makes me feel better when the little ones are running around. If my straightener fell off the counter while it was cooling down, I wouldn't have to worry about anyone getting burned. The is simply incredible. I wanted a sleeve to hold my Kipozi 1” flat iron and this one stood out for a few reasons. It can handle a hot device, though the packaging and product description differs in stating 500f/260c & 450f/232c, but that covers my needs as I use my Kipozi at 410f/210c. It’s very sturdy on its back holder hook, and fits snugly on my cabinet door. The cord management is really great too. I will use it as a sleeve when packing it in a suitcase or backpack and am thrilled it can take a completely heated device without a problem. Works like it should.. I gave 4 stars because I wanted to hang it on the side of a wire shelf but it's not stable so I had to stand it inside... It's made to hang on something thick like a towel bar... But all in all I will probably order another one for my other curling iron Read more
