Okay so nope I did not buy this for human diapers. I bought it for a 4lb yorkie's pee pads and to save my house from odors. I have had it for 3 days. I do not smell and odors at all. I was changing my trash every single day due to odors. It was not hard to set up. It seems to be working out well for why I purchased it. The dog version of a genie was 145 there was no way I could reason that in my head. So far this is a thumbs up.Update: so I was able to go Tuesday-Saturday (morning) before changing my bag out. Well, my 3 children are grown so I don't need this for diapers. I decided since we have a Septic Tank and my husband is worried about wipes stopping up the septic tank, that this fancy pale would fit the bill!! It's perfect! I got the grey. It looks nice in the bathroom. You can step on it to lift the lid that has a deodorizer in it. A long bag fits nicely inside with two extra replacement bags. Now when I use any wipes that may "say" they are flushable I'm not taking a chance and stopping up my Septic Tank for thousands. This was a life saver! 👍 Read more

Our first diaper genie broke after one bag change (it would not close at all) so we got a replacement for free. The new one works fine, however it doesn’t hold nearly as many diapers as I would have expected it to. I have a 5 week old and we change him roughly 12-15 times a day, and I’m literally changing the bag out every day. If I would have known it’d fill up so quickly, I wouldn’t have wasted my money on this. These are also annoying to change the bags on, as it’s just one super long bag. So you need scissors and to tie the bottom when changing it. It doesn’t take long to do now, but it did take a little bit to get used to, and it is a hassle.I suggest the Munchkin Pail over this, as we have one of those upstairs. Their bags hold wayyyy more diapers. I change it every 3ish days and it holds up great. The munchkin pail refills are also much easier, as you just snap it into place and simply remove and snap shut once done. No cutting or tying or fighting with the thing.This pail gets the job done, but I personally wouldn’t recommend this or buy one again. Just not worth the money. Bought for my elderly mom for incontinence pads. Works great. Last one we had was 15+ years ago when my kids were babies. Much improved drop in flap rather than twisting after each item. Flip down door for emptying is way easier than when it was on the bottom. Does not hold nearly as much as the old style, but just means emptying more often, which is a good thing based on what it’s for. If you have multiple kids in diapers, this size/style may not be sufficient w/o needing to empty every day or so compared to the original model or a larger size if one is made. Honestly can’t smell the dirty diapers in the room. Super convenient if you can’t access the trash can outside easily. Just make sure you pull down the bag a little first to help the diapers go down smoothly other than that it’s perfect and I’m happy to purchased it. Read more

I love this diaper genie even though I would of preferred the very 1st version of the diaper genie where you could twist the top in order to separate each diaper individually and when the pail gets full you would press the button and twist in order to cut the bag. I read the recent complaints about the missing carbon filter and only one refill. When I received the box there was only one refill in the box and no carbon filter as well. But when you press the button at the front to open the diaper genie (as you would do to put in the refills) I saw the other 2 refills and the carbon filter. I request everyone else to check this. As a feedback to the company - please put all 3 refills along with the carbon filter into a separate package inside the box (not inside the diaper genie).Will update this with an actual review after I use it for a couple of months. I bought this diaper genie to replace my litter locker! It's SO much better!!It has a foot petal to open the hole unlike litter locker which you have to hold with one hand and pull with the other. It's higher but thinner, so you get at least 30% more time in between emptying it. The bags lock the smell in much better than litter locker. Plus, the charcoal filter blocks additional odour. Didn’t think I would need this (as it just seemed like more stuff to have), but bought anyways. Ended up being very convenient, right beside the changing table. Does an excellent job of keeping the smells contained and holds a good amount of diapers before needing to change the bag (which is essential when you have a little poop machine…)Overall, would recommend if you have the space for it. I was initially going to purchase the Elite model before learning it was being discontinued. I've read that model suffered some issues with odor. I haven't had any issues with the Complete model. No smell, super easy to setup and use. Very happy with this purchase. Read more
