I bought these because I had the previous version with my first born and I LOVED them. Bought these for my 2nd child and I’ve been using them for a month. One of the plastic bottoms started leaking and it kept irritating me so I threw it away, then ALL of the bottoms started leaking. I would take everything apart and put it back together and tried to understand what was going on. A week later and after much frustration my husband realized that the rubber insert was not suctioning to the plastic bottom as well as it should be so now we have to press down the rubber insert to the bottom before screwing it on and then even after that we have to run our palm across the bottom until our hand gets sucked to the bottle so we know we pulled the rubber part and the suction is correct. You may not know what any of this means unless you have the bottle already but just know, unless you like adding extra steps to your bottle routine while your baby is crying then go right ahead and buy these. I had an older version for my first son almost 2 years ago. They worked great, and continued to work great for my second born. We've used them more for my 4 month old because I bottle feed him more. Never had an issue with leaking with the older models. Bought more, and thought the newer versions would be just as good. I was wrong. The new 2021 versions leak constantly, leak worse when I heat the bottle. I use a Phillips bottle heater and haven't had issues with any other bottle except these ones. Will be looking for another bottle to use. Wish I could return these. Read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. We had these for our first baby, no issues what so ever. They were great. Fast forward 4 years, we order them for our second baby and they are terrible. CONSTANTLY leaking. No matter what we do, they leak from the bottom. It seems fine, we start feeding, when we pick it back up it’s leaking from the bottom like crazy. We purchased two packs of these and they all do it. Every one of them leak with no explanation. These are awful and it wasn’t like that before. They were great before, that’s why we chose them again for our second baby. Nothing but regrets with this purchase. I recommend avoiding these. Terrible. Read more

Read the reviews (I didn't, my mistake) and you will realize why you should stay away from this product. I bought the gift set (it comes with the two pacifiers) and we've been dealing with the leaks for a while. We thought we were putting it on incorrectly, as there were times it didn't leak as much, so we would twist the parts together very slowly, hoping it would seal any gaps and stop the leaks, it eventually doesn't matter. The leaks get worse and worse and you finally get very frustrated.The concept is good, you want air to vent, so the baby isn't getting unnecessarily gassy, but when you have to deal with leaks and drips all over your floors, carpets and couches, you realize it's not worth the headache. It's also really difficult to clean, especially if you want to clean every nook and cranny of the pieces, because there are a total of 4/5 pieces to each bottle. The two pacifiers, although were cute, our baby just never had a chance to get accustomed to them. Luckily, we decided not to invest in other pacifiers and we are managing without them so far.I never had the "old version" everyone is talking about, but the current one should be avoided at all costs. If venting is a major bonus for you and you need it, try to find the old version on ebay, try another venting bottle or just be prepared to deal with leaky bottles. It gets very frustrating to deal with. If Playtex ever addresses the issue, they will hopefully make note of it with a "new design" mention in their description. I love and hate these bottles. The only part i hate is cleaning them its so many pieces to clean but u cant really complain about it as much because the bottle actually does its job. The nipple flow is great has slow and medium nipples and the letters u can also see them in them. The bottles does its job managed to help my baby with gas and less spit up. I used these till 3 months - 6 months. I used both versions of playtext bottles both are the same but these mimic more of the breast the shape of the nipple part its more rounder. I prefer the older version and so does my baby. They’re slow flow and work the best ever! The only downside is the nipples are so expensive for slow flow. Leaks aren’t an issue unless you’re not installing the ring at the bottom correctly or putting on the bottom lid correctly on. If you’re experiencing leaks from the ring at the bottom being warped it’s user error again. Have no issues with these bottles at all except I liked the older version more. Read more

I like the design of the bottles with the angle, but they tend to leak through the bottom. Not sure why, since I unassemble them for each cleaning and put them together the same way. sometimes they leak sometimes they don't.I'm also not quite convinced that baby can't breath in air.update: It seems as though the longer you use them the more they leak. I have a previous model of these bottles, which must be about 2 years old, they never leak. They should have stuck to the old model.very disappointed. Read more

I just bought it than I decided to read the comments. They said they leak. I was really suspicious and sad because I just bought it. But it come in today and I check each one of them and none of them leaked. Which I was so happy. I shakes it and left water in them for a bit and no leaks. They come with slow nipple and a medium one. Which is really convenient. Overall I’m happy with them. Now hopefully they don’t leak over time when my newborn arrives : ) Read more
