I had fond memories of this type of toy when little and thought my 2 year old could benefit from the physical manipulation today's kids do not do enough on a daily basis. The pieces are large enough that she can easily grip them and (sometimes) slide them into the correct holes. She does get a little frustrated when it doesn't fit, maybe opening up the holes a little more would benefit the younger audience. My major beef with this toy is the inclusion of two moons (crescent) shapes. There is a slight bend in one and none in the other. The bend is so slight in the one piece that with a quick glance you can't immediately tell which piece is which. It frustrates my daughter to no one when she has the correct general shape, but the piece doesn't fit because it is the wrong one. Why they decided to include two of the same shape with such a subtle difference is beyond me. They should really reconsider this and maybe add a different shape entirely instead of 2 so close together. Read more
My 16mo grandson brings it to me all the time to fit the shapes. He’s learned so many already. It’s built almost as well as the “old school” red, blue, & yellow ones. There’s 6 sides w 3 shapes each side. That gives 2 sides for each shape (9 shapes total). Each side is made into a face also. It took me a few times turning it around to realize that. Read more
Got this for my baby’s first birthday 🥳 he’ll still be a little to little but I found it for a price I couldn’t refuse and it’s just like the yellow one I had growing up Read more
My baby had this toy at his grandmas and I saw he liked it so much I bought him one for home. Great for babies 6+ months. He loves smacking it and observing the various shapes. Read more
I think this is perfect. My 1 year old isn't quite there to putting the shapes in the spaces. But he plays with it. The toy is fine. Some reviews mentioned thin plastic and their kids will break it... I don't see that happening. It may be thinner, but it's sturdy. And I have zero worries of it's durability. Read more
All of my kids had one if these when they were little. Theirs were always yellow. This was for my granddaughter so perfect color and she has lots of fun with it. Read more
I love any baby toys that help work on motor coordination and are easy to clean! This is both. My daughter is not easy on toys and we have not had any problems so far! Read more
Our toddler loves this. It is well-designed, in that there is little cheating possible. We had a few other shape sorters and he was able to fit shapes into other openings due to poor design, rendering the puzzle effect non-existent in those shape sorters. Read more
Light weight, seems durable, great value. Read more
