Another great addition to the growing patent pending Planet Wise product line. Finally a solution where one bag can carry your wet and dry items at the same time while keeping them separate. Each bag is sewn and sealed for no wicking or leaking plus an added zippered dry pocket on the front including two handles so it can be easily hung on a doorknob and/or carried. We used this bag instead of a diaper pail so that we could just throw rinsed cloth diapers in the bag until they where ready to be washed. We used BumGenius pocket diapers and never ran out of space in the bag, we usually washed diapers every few days so at most there where probably 12-15 diapers in the bag, insert and shells. The thing I liked about the bag rather than the pail was that we could just close it up and it helped prevent smells, even after the diapers had been rinsed, they where pretty yukky. When the rinsed diapers where left to sit for a few days the bag would eventually start to wick some of the moisture into the cloth outside so I'd say they aren't water tight indefinitely. However by that time it was time to wash the diapers anyway. We always washed our bag with the cloth diapers using the same instructions. We never used the outside pocket for anything. When full of rinsed wet diapers it was pretty heavy so we where never able to hang it up we just left it sitting next to the diaper sprayer so we only had to lug it to the laundry when full. I think it lasted pretty well over the few years of use it got. Read more

Just received - haven't tried out yet. Was expecting unicorns as pictured in the photo: white unicorns, pale green foliage. Mine has a much more condensed design: unicorns are pink and the green fronds are more pronounced. There are also flowers that look like orange tulips. Prefer the photo one more as the colors are cool rather than warm with the blues, white unicorns, green fronds not as pronounced and there are no orange tulips. This pattern is just a little too busy for me, but otherwise a very nice bag. I chose this one over others because it has two handles so you can hang it over a door knob. Would have rated higher if pattern was as pictured. Read more

These bags as cute as they are practical.. I wash bag on hot for 86 minutes and dry for 95minutes, high heat. Every other day for 4 years and I'm just now having to replace. HUGE Added bonus is the liner is Not fastened at bottom by design. This keeps you from having to stick your arm inside bag,to turn it inside out, yuk! In fact that is the reason I only use these wet bags. The adorable pattern are awesome. They hold up lovely wash after wash. Color may fade a tad over time but bag keep looking good. Kinda like a pair of blue jeans. I love these bags, highly recommend!!!!!!!!!! Read more

Planetwise bags lose one star because the zippers eventually fail. I’ve cloth diapered 3 kids now. I start out with two hanging wet bags to switch throughout the week. I’ve line dried them and taken care of them. Inevitably, just past 12-15 months of use, the zipper breaks off and I have no choice but to buy another bag. Disappointing! Other than that, it keeps the smell and wetness in and is the perfect size for hanging in our bathroom. If they used a heavy duty zipper it would be absolutely perfect. I haven’t found a better alternative. Read more

I have used several brand of wet bag, and so far planet wise are still the best. They are thick, and keep both moisture in smell locked in until it’s time to do laundry. I wish I had purchased The larger size sooner, as it’s perfect for hanging on the door knob. Unlike the medium size, which has a snap on the handle, the larger size has two handles with your son to the bag, so it will not come on snapped when the bag becomes heavy. Read more

In the last 2 years, I've purchased 4 large hanging bags and 3 of the medium sized bags. Several of these have had problems, but others have been fine. i find these to be an indispensible part of cloth doapering. The first two hanging bags were great - no noticeable wicking. Unfortunately, one of the bags started tearing near the handle due to the weight of the cloth diapers inside. I think this is a defect, but I was already a few months past the one year warranty. I purchased another large wet bag and another medium sized bag, but found that both of them leaked / wicked moisture horribly. I had to return them.I was unable to find a better alternative, so I combed through the Amazon reviews to see if I could find some pattern to the bag print and wicking issues. There wasn't really a pattern, but several people mentioned having no wicking problems so I looked at the prints they purchased and did the same (owl, organic kaleidoscope). Both have been fine.Bags with wicking issues: large meadow tweets and medium bangle dots.Bags that were okay: large organic kaleidoscope, large green meadow, medium owl, medium black curly q Read more

Pros: - Very large. I use about 6 cloth diapers (pocket diaper, microfiber insert, double-hemp insert) a day, and do laundry every 3 days. Most of those times, the bag still has room for a few more. - Keeps in the smell well. - Cute prints - I had the butterfly one and it's adorable. - Hangs easily on a doorknob.Cons: - The zipper is absolute garbage. I hate to say that, but it's true. I have gone through 3 of these bags. The first one had the liner rip (they have made improvements since then), and the last two I had to replace because the zipper broke. The first of those bags had the zipper last about 7 months before it failed. The second bag's zipper worked for about 2 months before the zipper pull snapped off. I made-do by putting a key-chain ring on the loop of the zipper, but then that loop broke off after 4 months.I WANT to like this bag, but I can't afford to keep spending $30-40 on a nice bag with a terrible zipper. PLEASE improve the zipper and I'll buy it again when I see the words "heavy-duty zipper" in the product description. Read more
