These are a disgrace to the plackers brand. The floss stretches out so far that it's unusable after like 3 teeth. Also the plastic frame is narrower at the opening than the standard version, and it doesn't fit between my molars. I bought 2 packs, used them once, and threw them all in the trash. Read more

I have been a happy user of Plackers for years, but these Gentleslide variants are useless if you have tight teeth because the ends of the floss are not firmly attached to the handle. The floss pulls out of the handle every time I try to insert the floss between my teeth. Even if I do manage to get the floss between my teeth, the floss pulls out of the handle when I try to remove it. Read more

*Update* 5/30/21. It’s too bad the price of these has hiked up to triple the price. Knocking 2 stars off for that and I will not be reordering. These are triple the price now. They used to be $2 something per bag and are now nearly $7 a bag. I will have to find a different floss now as I go through one bag a month on my own and my other family members use these daily too so not paying the new price.Original review below:These are my all time favorite floss sticks and I've tried a lot of kinds. Im an obsessive flosser andI dont like regular floss since it's so painful on my fingers. Some people like the thin round floss. These are not that kind. These are flat to get between tight teeth. I've pulled out too many fillings with the other kind so this is the only kind I will buy.I like how easy to use especially on the go. HORRIBLE--These must be seconds. I love Plackers and use them every day, so decided to buy through Amazon. Definitely inexpensive, but a total waste of money. They were packaged well and looked exactly like legitimate Plackers, but functioned like junk from China. First used these last night and it took four Plackers to floss all my teeth--but was still a fight to get them all done. The floss on each one stretched to a nearly unusable extent after a single swipe between my teeth. I've never had problems with Plackers, but these are only useful for the pick, not the floss. Maybe I received a bad batch, but these are really, really useless. With other brands, I would use just one, maybe two flossers to get the job done. With these, I'm going through 5-7 until I find one that doesn't break. It's not like they break from wear either, if they break, it's on the first tooth. Even when using on non-tight teeth gaps, the floss will just disconnect from the holder. Once I break several of them, I may find one that will get the job done, but it's a real waste of time trying to find one that works. I should have spent a little more money to get something that will actually get the job done on the first try. Read more

These were inexpensive, but even at $2.99, they are not worth the price. The floss slips out of the holder or becomes loose and ineffective. These are destined for the wastebasket and I will order a different brand from a different seller. Read more

I have used green Plackers in the past and they were entirely satisfactory; perhaps once a week one would break during use. These purple ones with the "Gentleslide" feature (more of a ribbon than a string) one would hope would be even more slide-y and therefore less prone to snagging up and breaking.Well, that would be wrong. In my experience it often requires 3-4 to finish my mouth (relatively normal adult teeth, not particularly loosely spaced). Something about the manufacture here causes the ribbon to pull through the far end where it's encased in the plastic, quite easily, on about 1/2 of the units.I had requested a replacement due to defect, thinking maybe there was a bad lot made. But the new replacement bag was just as bad. This applies to bags ordered and received in Q3 2021. Read more

This is the first time I've been compelled to write a review of anything in a vain attempt to try and save people their money. Bought these back in August but only just finished my last supply - which were from a well-known supermarket and were fantastic - and suddenly remembered I'd bought these. I don't know if someone's just bagging up a batch of seconds, but they could not be more different. Complete waste of time and money as the WHOLE BAG are faulty - too slack and even if they look taut to the eye, as soon as you try to use them they collapse and one end of the floss comes out of the plastic. DO NOT BUY THESE UNLESS YOU'RE NOT AFRAID OF YOUR DENTIST. Read more
