But there is room for improvement whenever they produce a new version. 1) It aesthetically doesn't really match the sleeker style of the newer Philips brushes 2) It traps moisture, so it is best to let the brush dry before putting it in the unit.It would also be great to have a mechanical agitator to brush the bristles on a future version. I've waited until my visit with my dentist to write this review. The dentist and hygienist both agree with me that my teeth are cleaner then they usually are before a visit and that my gums are also healthier than usual. This is a great addition to your sonicare toothbrush. The UV chamber kills bacteria that is on your brush head and the built in charger base replaces the one that comes with your electric toothbrush (so no need to have two things plugged in). This is also a great option for storing the brush heads when not using them because it protects them from any airborne "stuff" that could come from other less desirable areas in the bathroom. I had a unit from 8+ years ago and it still works and I've used this cleaner to sanitize the brush heads every time I brush. I had looked for a replacement UV bulb for my old cleaner but between the cost of the bulb and the fact that the repeated use and years of UV cleaning, my white plastic shroud and cover has now 'turned yellowish. So I thought, what the heck, for alittle more, I'll get a new one. I received this item in October and the UV Sanitizer stopped working three weeks later. Initially the seller refused to take it back even though the return period had not expired. I persevered, and eventually the seller agreed to return my money after receiving the item, but I had to pay over for the return postage — almost half of what the item was worth. Read more

This is definitely a must have product. Keeps our toothbrushes nice and clean and prevents bacterial growth. Excellent value for money. My one complaint is the button gets a bit difficult to push at times, but aside from that it’s perfect. Very easy to clean as well. Read more
