My kids are not fond of these, but I love them for two reasons:1. Of course, they're Sonicare electric toothbrushes. They work the same way the dentist's... thingy... does in the... dentist's office.2. My kids complain that "they take too long." Excellent. Now I can be sure that they're getting their teeth adequately brushed, and as an added bonus, I'm making their lives miserab--uh, I mean, I'm building character. Yeah, that's what I'm doing. Building character. One of our daughters recently got back from her dentist's appointment (no cavities! Amazing!) with a new toothbrush. She's our "rules-follower" (if you have one of your own of this type, we've started a support group; message me and I'll let you know when and where we meet) and insists on using the cheap-o brush dentists always give to kids when they leave. Like it's a prize or something. Anyway, I ask her, "Did you tell them you already have a really good electric toothbrush?" She looks at me with this genuinely bewildered look, as if I'd just grown another head or something, and shakes her head with undoubtedly genuine innocence. These are way better than dentists' cheap-o toothbrushes. Dentists, be sure to ask parents if they've got one of these at home before you plow through your stock of cheap-o toothbrushes for these kiddos. This is the most terrific kid's toothbrush. My kids are 2, 4, and 5.5 and they all adore this brush. Before this brush I tried a manual small kid's toothbrush as well as the adult Sonicare toothbrush for my 2 yo & no matter what tricks I tried, he screamed bloody murder, his teeth weren't getting clean and he was getting nasty cavities on his two front teeth. This Kid's Sonicare toothbrush has been pure MAGIC for him! He hasn't squirmed or cried once and his teeth are finally getting clean. He loves brushing himself and doesn't fight when it's my turn either. LIFESAVER!This kid's sonicare toothbrush has two vibration settings, one lower than the other, and both lower than the adult Sonicare toothbrush. The adult toothbrush's intense vibration is too much for little mouths, but the kid's version, while less intense, still provides a terrific clean, far superior to a manual toothbrush, and without any complaints from the kids! It sings 4 tunes, one for every quadrant, so the older kids know when to move the brush to a different quadrant & the younger kids are just entertained and can anticipate when brushing is coming to an end, giving them peace of mind that it won't last forever. My 2yo grins at every new tune every time. Win Win! Love Love!! Read more

My 9 year old son uses this along with regularly flossing per his Dentist's recommendation. The toothbrush does not start at full power but over time increases to full to allow teeth and gums to get accustomed to. It comes with different sticker face plates that are easy to stick but unfortunately start to peel off over time. Not a big deal at all. The brush time is 2 minutes and makes a sound every 30 seconds to remind you to change the part of the mouth you are brushing. For instance, top teeth, bottom, front, inside. When the battery runs low it flashes and beeps. The charging standing is easy and convenient and quickly charges the toothbrush. When charging, the light flashes and stays solid when charged. This is a fabulous toothbrush that my whole family uses. And, I was surprised that the warranty extends to 2.5 years if you register. Now that's a company stands by their products considering that if you brush 2x day that's over 720 brushes for the year! You do the math. Another great thing is that the brush heads that fit the adult brushes fit this model also. Only con is the brush heads are kinda expensive but last 3 months or more. I recommend when brushing do not press too hard on the teeth, let the brush do all the work. Read more

This is a great investment in your children's teeth. I was a dental consultant for years and all of the dental offices boast of their favorite electric toothbrush. I have used several brands, but due to cost hadn't purchased for my kids. As their permanent teeth started to come in, I did some searching and found this. The kids loved that they could decorate and personalize it. They brush longer than before (and I can hear the brush so I know they are brushing even if I am in my room getting ready- love that). They thought it tickled, but got past that after a few uses, but it is more likely that there will be tooth paste spray on the bathroom mirror than with manual brushes. The kids version is cheaper than mine, but it appears to work just as well. We've had for about 5 months now and haven't had any technical issues.Generic replacement heads are easy to find. We have been using the regular Sonicares for adults for a while now and decided to get this for the younger kids in our house. The pulse rate is can be chosen between high and low (for less vibration). The major difference is in the size of the brush heads and the body diameter and weight, making it more comfortable for kids to handle it. These also pause with a beep reminder every thirty seconds to remind the user the switch quadrants...until all four quadrants are cleaned and then stops at two minutes, unless of course, you push the start button once more. This comes with appliques for girls and boys so they can customize the look of the faceplate if they wish to (a pink one and a blue one). In short, this is a full Sonicare just sized smaller in every way to make it more comfortable for kids aged four and up to use. Having said that, even adults who prefer small brush heads might want to consider this version. Also great for travel, since this is lighter and smaller. Recommended. Read more

My kid still doesn't like this toothbrush but I trust that someday she will. It's very easy to use and I love that it comes with stickers so that kids get excited about it and can personalize it. It seems good quality and good value for money. Read more
