Summary:My main goal is to cover grey. Dark and Lovely Color does a reasonably good job on my grey hair. Only when I received the package, I noticed that it is aimed at women of color. But hair is hair, and the color worked perfectly fine for me even though I am not a woman of color.Detailed review:Due to the Corona Virus, I have not visited my hairdresser in nine months and learned to color my own hair.I have used several versions of Schwarzkopf hair color, Il Salone Milano Permanent Hair, EKOEH BRASIL Cream, and Total color by Revlon, and now Dark and Lovely Color. I rank it just below Schwarzkopf hair color in terms of full grey coverage.Dark and Lovely Color kit has color and developer in different containers, and you need to mix them before application. The kit does not include a brush or bowl. You use the bottle applicator to deposit color. I find using a brush, and a bowl gives me more control, so I use my own brush, bowl, a mini cape to cover my shoulders, ear covers to cover my ears, and my own disposable gloves (because the ones that come in the kit are so huge that they are very uncomfortable and messy for a female with small hands). I also use chapstick lipstick around my hairline. A chapstick layer prevents my scalp from being stained while I cover the grey hairs around the hairline.Dark and Lovely Color has no unpleasant when applied. I thought it did a decent job, and the cost is better Schwarzkopf hair color.When I did my color for the first time, I was afraid that the hair color would stain the bathtub, the shower curtain, and shower walls. This hair color is very easy to use. It is pretty much like most of this type where you mix the 2 bottles to get the hair dye ready and then let it sit in your hair, wash it out, use their conditioner, rinse and off you go. The process is super easy, oh and if you don’t know, a good tip is prepare the edges of the hair line with a color protector or some just use Vaseline if they don’t have one of those color protectors you can order online. This will protect you from stains on your skin which is great.The color looks fantastic. It is a natural looking brown that is not that far off my natural color, but just looks healthy, more vibrant and brings more life to my hair, which was exactly what I was looking for.
