I previously bought the 10 oz bottle of this Color Protect shampoo. Love it. So when it was low I thought why not get a larger bottle and refill the smaller one to use in the shower? The scent of this 32 oz is the same but the consistency is not - thinner. I need more for washing my hair-but have learned to not use toooo much - that doesn’t make a difference.I wash my hair every other day in cool water any way - suggestions from my stylist to help keep the color longer (and that helps). So essentially I’m using the same amount of shampoo as the smaller bottle and was washing daily - but that was not my goal.Last warning - pay close attention to the name on bottle. I discovered there was a slight difference between the smaller “original” and this larger bottle.In the future I will return to Penney’s salon where they sell Paul Mitchell products at a discount - but 2 get 1 free. Great product I give this shampoo 2 thumbs up 👍 since I color my hair on my own because I dislike paying so much money to beauty salons. I was searching for a color shampoo that will actually NOT FADE the color away from every wash. I feel in love with this one. It makes your hair color last a long time. Besides making it last it gives it a shiny healthy look. People often tell me what do I use in my hair since it looks fresh. Considering how I wash it every day since I work out and sweat alot. I have been using Paul Mitchell Daily Shampoo for 3+ years now and love it. I have tried others in between and always go back to Paul Mitchell. This shampoo leaves your hair feeling clean, unlike others I have tried that have left my hair oily. I have limp fine hair and this is the best shampoo that I have tried for my hair. I have dark brown/black hair which needs to be recolored every month to cover gray hair. It was just colored a week ago and washed with a diff shampoo with no problem. Since receiving the Paul Mitchell Color Protect Shampoo I've washed my hair twice and BOTH times I've watched dark color just run out of my hair during rinsing. I've NEVER had a shampoo do that to the extent that this did. I've been using Nexxus Color Assure Shampoo (about the same price) and have never noticed color run out of my hair. I usually buy this at Ulta, but found it online cheaper. Color protect shampoo does just that, but it also leaves your hair silky smooth. I seldom use a conditioner with this because it only weighs my hair down in the winter months. Would recommend this shampoo. Read more

I will never buy this again. I usually purchase Paul Mitchell instant moisture but this was on sale and I color my hair so I thought, Why not try? I was so mistaken and completely wasted my money. I take good care of my hair and this made my hair dry and oily at the same time. I felt DISGUSTING. I tried it multiple times before I just gave up. I've been keeping my hair colored for a long while and other color safe shampoos did a much better job at keeping the color on my hair. This shampoo nearly stripped it as though I was using any-brand man's shampoo without any hydrating, colorsafe or other boasts. More runny than I would have expected a brand like PM shampoo to be too. Maybe it's a real product... but I am suspicious. Read more

The quality of the shampoo is okay. Honestly, I don't think it has helped the hair color "fading" process any more than using regular shampoo. I bought "this brand" thinking it may keep the color from fading a little longer than using regular shampoo but I have not noticed a difference. Shipping/delivery was very quick. Read more

Love Paul Mitchell products, especially as they don't test on animals! I did have to send my first one back as it was open and had spilled into the plastic wrapping. The second one was delivered with only a small amount of leakage.An update on my order. I am still trying to return the first one. I was sent another bottle, but to be honest, I will not be buying this again. There is a smell that is not recognisable as a Paul Mitchell product. This is a tried and trusted product initially recommended to me by my hairdresser who used it in her salon. It s exceptionally mild and does’ nt strip my hair of natural oils whilst at the same time leaving it thoroughly clean . This is the worst Paul Mitchell duo I've ever used, it feels like it coats the hair and won't wash out properly. Leaves my hair feeling dull, heavy and limp. Returning this product after only 3 uses. It could just be my hair type, but this product definitely does not agree with my hair. Read more

I am going back to using Living Proof's Color Care shampoo for my highlighted hair. The Paul Mitchell shampoo, whilst nice, does not protect the hair colour as well as LP does. LP is expensive in comparison but worth it. Read more
