my hair is now naturally grey - tending toward white. A few years ago I decided to get some darker lowlights in my short pixie. While the low lights were not permanent, they did have the effect of fading and causing my hair to look "muddy" and light brown. Okay so I'm officially stoked finally found a purple shampoo that loves me and I've tried many in the last year some that were a complete fail example...one time while shopping with my fella he looked at me lovingly in a very buisy store and said loudly babe its amazing your natural hair isn't just silver grayish its actually naturally kind of purplish I've never seen that on anyone ... um imbarrassing lol seriously tho last year I decided to stop coloring over my gray and wacked it all off short its finally growing out again so I can do up styles and this product is bomb! It doesn't dry out my hair it smells nice and I only lather it in for a few minutes and my hair doesn't look purple and doesn't feel like hay every head of hair has its own special needs this product may not work for everyone but I am happy I stumbled upon this lil gem my hair has always been fine and whispy and temperamental so its definitely a challenge but ya I am liking this alot so far :) Read more

I've used Jhirmack purple shampoo and conditioner for years. My hair is silver and it has always been shiny and soft. For some reason I decided to order Pantene Silver Expressions a couple of months ago. I didn't notice anything at first, but I wasn't really paying attention. Finally, a week ago, I really looked at my hair and it appeared dry and lifeless. Since the only change had been this shampoo, I immediately ordered the Jhirmack shampoo. Hopefully, I can donate the Pantene, but living on a fixed income this is not happy news. Read more
