Paco is no longer made in France. France makes the best fragrances in the world. Paco has been farmed out to Spain, and it is no longer the same. It smells good, but the fragrance is very weak and doesn't last long. I have been using it since the mid 70's when I received it as a gift while working in Germany. Wait long enough and what was old becomes new again. Classic smell. Long lasting, but the projection lays off within six to eight hours, unless it's a warm - hot day. I work sixteen hour work shifts and it lasts the entire time but mellows as the shift drags on. Easy solution? I got a travel atomizer and give myself a spritz, or five, at the midpoint of the day. For date night I use a dab of patchouli oil every where I spritz first to amp up the spice a touch and it holds up well. Over all, a bit sweeter than I remember in my late 20s, but I've always recieve smiles and compliments so, sweet it may be but I'm wearing it.Also, an under noted factor when buying a fragrance is sweat. Try a fragrance out, get a sample, first because every man's natural musk works differently with the fragrance and both must be compatible to have the synergy needed to really work. Despite never seeing this particular fragrance in any "top fragrance" list for sexy or attractive, sometimes what is missing isn't the smell of your parfume, it might just be you. Not that any man smells bad, but find your own smell first. Clean sweat is best and keep in mind that you are at least 30%, or more, of the mix of the smell that you project around you. Even the best smelling fragrance won't necessarily work for you if your natural body smell is fighting the parfume. My sweat is warm, but hearty, which I have found doesn't work with citrus notes at all well. Purchased this large bottle of Paco Rabanne as my husband has used if for 44+ years and we really like the fragrance. Ordered it before the old bottle was empty and now that he's using the new bottle, it's obvious that the fragrance is nothing like that to which we're accustomed. Is it genuine? I would have though so as it's purportedly sold by Amazon.Com Services, LLC and they should know their sources. Update:I'm updating my review as I bought a Paco Rabanne from Macy's because that's where Paco Rabanne's official site took me to order the cologne.This cologne is the same identical cologne as the one I just got from Macy's. I inspected it, and after I put the spray, the lid too wouldn't fit. I'm assuming that the lid is only if you don't want the sprayer on it.I checked it to the legitimate Paco Rabanne.This is the real thing. Smell is subjective. I was hoping for something with more of a musk base. The base of this leans more towards citrus and reminds me more of a kitchen cleaning product as opposed to a cologne. In addition, the scent is thin and does not last, couple of hours max. So for me, this was a good thing as I didn't care for the smell. However, for those that do like the scent, be prepared to reapply on a frequent basis. Had I bought this at a brick and mortar shop or received it as a gift from one, I would have returned it. Couldn't wait for the cologne to arrive. Once I smelled it I thought I was back in the 80s at a club or hanging at the boardwalk in Jersey. Not too strong but impactful. The ladies, or men, can't help but turn a head as they get a whiff when I sashay by. Goes well with cavariccis, sergio sacchini, or any 80s jeans, such as jordache or Sergio valente. Read more

This arrived on time but was in a very large box with one large boxed item and two other small items. There was no padding/packaging/dunnage in the very large open space inside the very large box. The tape on the very large box was frayed and barely holding the box closed. I’m very glad the small items didn’t disappear out the frayed taped end and that they didn’t break ... especially this item as I’d hate to have this special scent I purchased for my husband to have permeated the dog potty pads in the same box!
