I noticed my son chewing on something and realized he was able to bite off a big piece of the straw! The rubber is too soft unlike other sippy up straws that he was able to actually take a bite out of it. Read more

My wife wanted to skip the traditional sippy cup after researching stuff about it not being great for oral development, so we were in the market for a straw cup. Our son is exclusively breastfed with the occasional bottle, if that is useful for anyone to know. My wife had been practicing with him with a plastic straw before getting this in the mail (plugging the top of the straw and putting it into his mouth to let the water go in) and he was able to drink out of this straw cup the same day we got it. By the second day, he was able to hold it himself and drink independently (my wife still holds it for him most of the time, though). We were deciding between this and the Munchkin weighted straw cup, and we are so happy we went with this one -- granted, we haven't tried the Munchkin, but had read about lots of leaking. So far, no leaking here, and we're really pleased with how quickly baby got the hang of it. Read more

This cup is perfect for breastfed babies that won’t drink from a bottle! My son is 11.5 months old and I could feel my supply dropping so I wanted to make sure he was still getting enough to drink while eating meals with us. My son would not drink out of any bottle or sippy cup. He was starting to get dehydrated because he wouldn’t drink from anything. We purchased this after our pediatrician recommended getting a cup with a straw. He now loves it and will actually drink 3oz during each meal! It’s so easy for him to use and he Figured it out without a few minutes. It’s also SO easy to clean. I like that every part can come off so I can clean it really well. I highly recommend getting a straw cleaner though because the straw part is very narrow. Read more

my one year was having trouble sucking out of the straw. I tried it and had a few others try it. Although it’s possible, it was tough and had to work really hard to get a sip out of the straw. My baby didn’t want it and pushes it a way. I found one that is easy for him to get drinks out of it. He loves it! It’s the munchkin 360 also recommended by dentists. I love how he gets water out of it with no problem and ended up buying more in different colors. What I did like about this product is that it was easy for him to hold, but so many other water cups with the same system. It was my friend who recommended this when I was talking about my 11 mo son that wasn't good at drinking from a sippy cup. She told me her daughter had no problem drinking from this straw cup after having struggled with sippy cups. And it totally worked with my son too. He started drinking from this with no problem as soon as I gave this to him for the first time. Since then I have bought a few more and these are now must items for us.However, there is an issue with leakage... It doesn't leak much from the straw - my son swings it a lot when he has this cup in his hand, and whatever is inside splashes out from the straw a little bit, but that's not so bad. The issue is the leakage inside the bag when we are out and about... I'm not sure where it's coming out from, but it gets the bag wet every time we go out. So I keep the cup in the small pouch now. Also, the top cover is pretty loose and whenever I pull it out from my bag the cover is open most of the time. There are a few issues, but I think these are great transition cups. Read more

Bought one of these to teach my son to drink from a straw. Bought the Joovy straw cup as well. This one my 14 month old son could not figure out how to drink out of it yet. It has a Bite straw, that if you don't bite down on it in a specific spot, it won't open enough to get anything out of it. The Joovy, my son was drinking out of immediately. The other issue I had with this cup is the Handle does not seem to "Lock" down. It twists, wont get tight. Making it difficult for a toddler to hold it with one hand and still drink from it. Seems to be well made except for those two issues. Ill keep it and try it again as my son gets older, but as of right now, He hasn't figured out how to drink from it yet. Read more

Umm where has this been my baby’s whole life?! I cannot say enough good things so far. As soon as I opened this cup, I knew it would be a winner. Before now, we only used the munchkin weighted straw cup. My daughter likes it, but it’s HORRIBLE to clean, the straw never seems to get all the soap out or fully dry, and it leaks like crazy when dropped. We have yet to put this one to the drop test, but I already love it 10x more than our other one. It is SO simple to clean. It’s a wider straw and cones apart in 2 pieces, so match more sanitary. It also is very easy to weave through the top part, which is an issue we have had with other cups in the past that we ended up returning before even using for that reason alone! We LOVE this cup so far, and will be purchasing the suction bowls and plates for baby girl for Christmas. The kid loves to throw things, so hoping they can delay that at least a bit. Love that they’ll match the cup too! Thanks OXO Tot! Read more

I loved this cup! I bought one for my 9 month old to transition to using a straw. It has a longer and softer more flexible straw. It is VERY easy to clean and I loved the removable handles and measurement lines My baby skipped the sippy spouts altogether. This was easy for him to suck from and we used it for about 2 weeks and then was able to move him to a straw cup with a soft/short and flexible straw which was a bit more difficult for him to suck on as a learner, but better for his speech development. That being said, this straw is still in rotation and I will be using it to wean him from his lunch time bottle very soon. I personally probably won't use it past 12 months of age as I want him to move to the shorter straws completely. However,I recommend this straw cup for learners! Read more

Okay so I need to say that I removed the top cover because whenever I would slide the cover over the straw, it would pinch the straw in the most perfect way to make it leak! But without that cover, I am so so happy that it DOES NOT leak. Like ever. We've been using it for 9 months and it's holding up great. Even when it has cold liquid and then that cold liquid gets warmer and warmer and rises up into the straw like any other straw cup... It will not leak. Unless maybe the end of the straw gets damaged by toddlers chewing on it. But anyway. I was really in need of another one and I didn't see any of the 9oz blue on amazon.ca so I over-paid to get one from amazon.com because that's how much I love that it doesn't leak! Oh and very easy to clean! Happy customer here. The lid is long gone so I just pretend it didn't even have one ;) Read more

We bought this product thinking it would be great for our toddler so we bought two, however, our 19 month old son was able to break the top of the straw right where the valve is that is meant to keep food liquids from coming up when not being sucked. Basically, over the course of two weeks with average use his teeth cracked through the plastic, until it was able to easily be ripped or chewed off. This happened on both cups within days, as we had been alternating between the two. Luckily I noticed both before he ate them and threw them out. The straws need to be thicker in this area since the child actually has to put pressure by biting on the straw to get fluid to come out. So normal and correct use of the product for feeding causes this issue (not good). The straw should be thicker or stronger in this area. It's too bad, since the amount of flow is great for water, milk, and smoothies. It would be great to have a refund or a replacement that didn't have this issue. The company clearly knows about this issue since so many people have complained about it, so why haven't they? Suggest buying a safer and higher quality product. Read more
