These combs are solid and high-quality, unlike the cheap replacements that started breaking after the first year of use (used monthly to cut my own men’s hair). Yes, it does take several uses to figure out how to remove them because of their strong springs, but that’s preferred over the cheaper combs breaking off while cutting hair resulting in a shaved scalp patch (sorry, no photo to share ;). I bought these and they fit over my Oster #10 blade to try and save the expense of buying multiple, expensive, blades. These are not good at all and i can’t even use them. The hair keeps getting stuck in them and it is almost like the blade won’t cut the hair when they are on. Maybe I am doin something wrong? I am just going to buy the different blades instead. I don't have Oster's premium clippers, just a couple of the older style ones that look like the fast feed without the quick release lever. You see them in thrift stores often, and they were the ones sold as pet trimmers and home use clippers instead of the more expensive barber's models.The combs fit, but not as well as the older (and largely broken) vintage set that came with one of the clippers I have. The spring hooks at the back of these new combs are too long to let the comb sit fully down on top of the top blade, the hooks hit the body of the clipper. So I would not call these universal by any means, they fit like they were made for a wholly different brand of clipper but they work well enough to keep and get used to. I don't know how well they fit the Oster professional clippers, presumably these combs were designed for that line.This would have been easy to illustrate with a picture if any vendor bothered to care. Vendor gets an F for that, whoever designed these gets a C for the concept of "universal" fit that is universally bad. Actual fit is basically unusable on my clippers but one could argue that they "fit" if one is willing to spend a lot of time getting the combs on and off the clipper.Overall, I would never recommend anyone buy these for any reason. Liked everything about these guides except for one thing - the spring that you have to pull back to attach the guide to the clipper is really strong. Now, that's a good thing to some extent but I have to use two hands to pull the spring back to attach it to the clipper blade. Read more

My olds guards for my clippers somehow went missing so was looking for replacements. Was a little bit skeptical of buying these but read they were able to fit my clippers. These work great. I just got them and I used them for clipping my Pom/Chi. I used my Oster Turbo A5 with a #10 blade. I used a #3 on his body, #4 on his tail and neck ruff. Combs go on the A5 easily and stay on firmly. They glide nicely through the hair and don't get clogged or tangled. I like that they come with the pouch so I can keep them tidy in my grooming tote. We have the Oster Clippers Model 059751-015-00, which comes with limited guards. I ordered these guards to enhance the range of cutting length ability.Unfortunately, they do not fit and I have to return themIn the attached picture, I drew a white line along the length of the guard base, and orange lines under the purchased guards.You can tell that the orange lines/clipper guards are shorter, so won't clip onto that wider white baseline on these clippersI think ultimately, these clippers have been out of production for a while, sand that rather than continuing a fruitless search for compatible guards, I'll just donate the clippers, and buy a new set that will be supported by the manufacturer.
