I have lots of issues with my feet - mainly arthritis and a bone spur. I had been wearing some tennis shoes with shoe strings that tied - and at times I tripped on the ties due to them being untied. With this shoe the ties will not come out and are still comfortable on my feet .They have a adjustable Velcro leather strap over them makes it fit like a glove on your foot. I just received these last week and have already ordered another pair. They look nice enough to go anywhere - trimmed in black leather - look kind of fancy. I love them. These were purchased for my mother who suffers with a permanent ankle injury, flat feet, kissing toes, she wears a foot brace and uses custom orthotic inserts, not to mention she also has brand new knees. She has struggled to walk and has an incredible amount of difficulty doing so. She has not been able to find any sneaker that has helped....until now!!! She has tried several dozen different kinds of sneakers; Vionic, Asics, Brooks, New Balance, Sketchers, Saucony, Nike, etc. I am so relieved to see her finally able to walk in her extra wide sneaker, with so much more comfort. She is able to walk more, though progress is slow, she is very happy (that’s rare!) to be in comfortable, well fitting and nice looking sneakers. Was a little unsure about trying a different brand of athletic shoes from my usual Asics which I choose because my ankles tend to turn in when I walk. I also have no fat padding on soles of my feet so choose Klogs in casual shoes because of their wonderful innersoles. But I loved the velcro fastener vs. shoe laces on this particular style. This shoe is of good quality and I feel that it would have been comfortable, however, even though I normally always wear a 7-1/2 these were too small. The credit to my Amazon account was a bit slow after returning them. On reorder I chose an enclosed sandal style because my feet are very hot. I liked the idea of shoes for flat feet. reviews are great. But my left foot is slightly bigger than the right and the arch is not a good fit on it. my right feels great my left does not. Arch is to far back. I have tried both inserts that came with it and at times all 3 together. But still no relief for my left foot. So I will keep trying them and hopefully they will work out.
