I've been purchasing these shoes for years and they eliminated my problem with heal spurs on booth feet. Over the last three orders of shoes, started having problems with the velcro strap. It gets to a point that they pop open and wont hold. Under magnifying glass, I can see that the plastic strip the hook profile starts to straighten out compared to a new pair so the velcro material cant grip. Sent a email to the manufacturer and there reply was they have never had this problem before and for me to take them to a shoe store to be repaired. I did not expect such a " WE DONT CARE " attitude. I have a very high arch and have started to have a lot of pain mostly in my heal. As per my Doctor's advice I have ordered arch support inserts for my shoes. The shoes are very comfortable. I have wide feet and they hurt when I wear other shoes. Some shoes hurt within 15 minutes and some start hurting after two hours. These shoes do not hurt my feet even after 3-4 hours. I ordered XXWide not realizing that it's a 6E. I have another pair of Orthofeet shoes that are 4E and they fit great. Orthofeet includes liners that go under the insoles if the shoes feel too large and they work great. The shoes feel snug enough to keep me steady without feeling like I'm slipping around the shoe. On my older shoes the velcro strap is getting worn out after a year and a half and that's one reason why I bought another pair. The shoes are well worth the cost and my feet feel so much better. I am a solid 13eee. Clearly, the XW shoes are much wider than that. I like the shoes, but they are way too big. Why not just put normal sizes on them? The shoes themselves seem of good quality, but I cannot wear them often as they slide and rub. Company offered an Amazon card in exchange for review. They refuse to honor it. We got these for my dad for Christmas. He wears them daily. So much easier to get these then trying to go thru the doc office and get a prescription for diabetic shoes. He said that they are the same as his prescription shoes he was wearing. Good fit, we like that they came with 2 different insole liners so you can get the perfect fit. Very comfortable he says. I cut hair for a living so I'm on my feet all day long. I tend to blow through shoes rather quickly. A lot of shoes are comfortable but after a few months wear out and my feet begin to hurt. I also have plantar fasciitis, so I need a very comfortable shoe that has great arch support and over all foot support. I found my brand. I love the open feeling across my toes and the balls of my feet. The platform of the insole/inserts feel good to begin with and appears ready to take the form of my foot as time and use allow. They aren't Allen Edmonds but for what they Are, they Are wonderful to my feet. Read more
