I've been buying this mousse for almost a year now from Amazon. This month however I went and bought it from Nordstrom because I had a giftcard. the bottles are identical, however there was a MAJOR difference in the texture of the mousse and my hair was completely different (better) after I styled it. There's no question that this is not the same product. The mousse I've been using from this seller has honestly been fine and I liked it. But now after trying the "real" product there is a night and day difference. I will no longer buy from Amazon any name brand beauty products.I will say, while the bottles look identical there is a difference in the spray mechanism in the top. I returned part of this order and I should have returned this item too. I have used Oribe products for a few years now and they are fantastic. But I will never order them from Amazon again. I don't know if they are old stock or were stored improperly, but one item would not dispense at all and this stuff dispensed like it was the bottom of the can. I just moved so I will have to find a local salon to purchase from in the future. Read more
I have very fine thin (borderline thinning) hair. I recently cut it into a shoulder-length bob in order to give it a fuller look. With a new cut that requires styling I started the hunt for the right product. After doing some research on beauty blogs and reading reviews I decided to purchase this mousse.The mousse is easy to dispense and has a nice scent. I blew out my hair as usual and noticed the difference right away!! There was a significant amount of lift at the crown and from the root throughout my whole head. I always use a round brush but after adding this mousse I'm able to achieve even more volume. They advertise "all-day memory" which I brushed off as just marketing but it's actually legit! When my hair starts to fall and flatten out as the day goes on I kinda rub my fingertips at the roots and plump it up and the volume comes right back. I haven't had these results with any other product.I wouldn't go so far as calling it a negative but you can feel the product in your hair (it's similar to the texture of brushed out hairspray) That said it's definitely not crunchy, crispy or flaky; the hair looks soft, smooth and shiny. I have limp thin hair. I should be so thin, anyway, I had a trial size and tried it.Perfect. My hair looked fuller, held its shape and looked better. For days.So I bought this large size, I am so pleased. I have very fine, thinning in areas, hair and thought this product would produce texture and volume. It didn't do that for my hair though it has a wonderful fragrance and made my hair shiny (don't care about shiny, wanted texture and volume). One reviewer said that a little goes a long way. I found that to be true. Too much made my hair feel coated and weighted down. Also, the trick to making sure that you don't have issues with spraying out of nozzle is to put it under warm running water each time after using it. It's sticky so will clog up the nozzle but rinsing with warm water prevents this problem. Read more

This is the best mousse I’ve ever used on my hair. My hair is thin and very straight and without mousse it looks lifeless and very flat. Most mousses dry my hair and are so light that you have to use a lot to get good results. This product requires a very small amount, a half dollar size or less for medium length hair is enough to thicken my hair without weighing it down for amazing professional results. Worth every penny.
