I dislike leaving negative reviews for companies based here in America. I feel like we should support those companies and any chance I have an opportunity to support them I will choose them over a foreign product. So its with regret I submit this review and wish I could leave a 5 star rating, however in light of what happened to not only myself, but both of my sons AND my wife, I feel like I should warn others about the dangers of this product. Before I purchased this Aloe I read a lot of the positive reviews on here and the very few negative ones. The negative ones tended to be about having a weird smell and more importantly, people who reacted poorly to it by breaking out in a rash. And THAT is what this review is about. All 4 of us had a terrible rash shortly after applying this product to our bodies which you can see by the photos I've included. Resulting not only in screaming by our 2 children but an ER visit for all 4 of us to reduce the swelling and skin reaction. Our youngest son had difficulty breathing as well. (probably because we put it on his cheeks)The physicians gave all of us shots of Benadryl and our youngest they gave him something else to ease his suffering. Not that we all weren't hurting, he was just screaming from it all. I can't tell you how terrified I was for my children and the absolutely horrible ordeal we went through.I have a hard time believing the Aloe itself caused any of this because we have used Aloe products before (usually for sunburn) and have had no reaction. So I'm guessing something else they put in this caused these outbreaks. I can not in good faith recommend this to anyone. If it were just me maybe I could have guessed I was allergic to it and maybe even go on to stretch that my two sons had reactions as well because they carry my genes. But to ALSO have my wife react along with the 3 of us just seems like whatever is in this should not be applied to anyone's skin.I can tell you for now on I will read negative reviews for future products and not discount what the people are saying in them. And often times I will even gloss over when there are so many positive reviews for a particular product, as is the case with this one. Which frankly makes me wonder how true and accurate all those positive reviews actually are. I hope for future people looking to purchase this, see this review and seriously consider if it is worth the risk. If you do still purchase it, I would HIGHLY recommend you try it in a small area first and see if you react. It only took about 5 minutes before the first signs appeared and only about 10 minutes to have the full on-set rash break out.Be sure to check out the photos which should give you an idea of how bad this got. I only posted mine because i don't want to put my kids photos on here. I would steer clear of this aloe. I wish it weren't like this, as I want American companies to succeed but there is no way anyone should be putting this on their skin if it is going to cause reactions like this.Good luck. Read more

I have been using this product as a catch all hair smoother/moisturizer, hair treatment with hot oils and as a mild hair styling gel. ON the weekends to do a hair treatment I apply it from roots to end....one or two tablespoons... more or less....comb through and let it dry a bit and then soak my hair with olive oil or argan oil on top of it and apply a bit of concentrated vitamin e oil.....VOILA.....great hair mask. I put on a plastic cap and a knit cap over to keep it warm (hot oil treatment without the heat.....and go about my day.....doing my Saturday home chores....I wash it out later in the day....I have even slept with it on over night too! I think it greatly has enhanced the health of my hair! It seems to be encouraging new hair growth too. I also use this as a second day fresh up for my hair. I spray a little water on my ends and work this through my hair....maybe a few teaspoons of it....comb through and it resets my curls....later after it all drys, I de-crunch with a paper towel, a la "curly girl" style. It does not give the stiffness of a gel.....which I really like...it does not flake in my hair either...really like that too! It smooths the frizz from my hair naturally without all the dimethicone of hair oils. All in all, using this has been a real enhancement for my hair. I still use my AG hair products (excellent company) for volume and style right after I wash it....but now I mostly follow up with this aloe gel to refresh the hair and skip the products. I find it keeps my hair much cleaner too....no product build up. This stuff has been magic for my hair. Thanks for making this awesome product available. Above all that - it is magic for kitchen cooking/ ironing burns.....keep some in your refrigerator....if you apply this right away to a kitchen burn...alternating with ice water for a few minutes....the burn will heal and not blister or scar and will not even be noticeable! I applied this product on my face and after 10 minutes my skin got super dry and started itching, I thought it was how it should have been, but after 5 more minutes my skin was super red as well and hurt. I dont know what to do, I had such a big expectation about this product. I have read that in case of this kind of side effect, stop using this product. but i want to use aloe, because I am using aloe for other things. so, please let me know if there is possible way to use this product without this reaction or should I throw it away? maybe product has expired, I know I am not allergic to aloe. It has the same consistency as aloe vera straight from the plant! It doesn't leave a residue like other gels rather it absorbs quickly into the skin. I highly recommend it. Read more

I have very sensitive skin that is very oily and acne prone. Since I have started using this daily as a moisturizer, my skin has been drastically clearer and smooth. It does not leave an oily residue and has a very mild smell. This also lasts me about two months and I use it all over my body, not just my face. I recommended this to my mother and she loves it. It actually cleared up her rosacea! Read more

I love that this product isn't full of a bunch of nasty chemicals. It's so hard to find good quality ingredients. I bought this for my daughter. She was getting really dry chapped skin and it was starting to cause damage. I had tried all kind of lotions but they all burned her sensitive skin. One day use of this gel and her skin was back to almost 100% I can't believe how well this worked. I wish i would have snapped photos but in all honesty I didn't expect it to work so quickly. I've been having laser hair removal and was advised to use aloe vera after the sessions. No reaction after 1st session as I hadn't purchased or used this item yet. All was fine. After my next session I applied to just my underarms, had an allergic reaction. Had to be perscribed a steriod cream. After my 3rd session, I didnt apply to my underarms but I applied to my legs and once again, I had an allergic reaction. Doctor couldnt understand why it happened to my legs and not my underarms this time and I explained I must be allergic to the aloe vera as I hadn't put it on my underarms and my legs only. He said its very rare to be allergic to aloe vera which leads me to believe this product isn't organic or has some chemicals in it that causes reactions. Once again had to take antihistamines as well as perscribed a steriod cream and tablets. My legs took 3 weeks to go "back to normal" and even now looks scarred in some areas. I'm having one last session and not applying this "gel" ( watery and sticky) Really not worth the money or stress. Also, didnt realise I purchased from an American company which I believe doesn't have the same regulations as UK. Read more

I do not have sensitive skin and have never reacted to any skin care product in my life, and I have used a lot. Plus I have used other aloe products with no problems so though I was safe to put this organic product straight on my face and neck. It started to burn almost immediately. I washed if off quickly, but not before it had brought me out in a burning red rash. My whole neck and face is now tight and very hot. However, when I contacted the seller, they explained that if I tried diluting their pure aloe with another product, it might not irritate my skin. They also gave me a refund. They responded immediately and were very helpful. However, I would warn people to be careful with pure aloe, even if they have previously used other products containing aloe without problems. I bought this to mix with coconut oil and an essential oil for my horrible shaving rash. After mixing, first application has shown immense results, very pleased. The only reason this is misleading is because it states it's 100% organic, so you'd imagine aloe vera gel with no additives. The items packaging upon arrival states it's 99% organic, and doesn't have the seal of approval for organic items. Not a big deal to me, but I know it would be to some. Read more
