I had not gotten a cold sore for many years until one morning I awoke to the dreadful tingle. I knew what would happen right away and Prime Now'd this bad boy. My learning curve was less than desirable but I want to write about it so nobody makes the same mistake I did:Do not hold the product in the same spot on your lip for long periods of time. I've been using this product for several years and it's the only treatment I found that ever works for me. I get cold sores once or twice a year on my lower lip. The first time I found this product was about five years ago. I woke up with what I knew was a developing cold sore. On my way to work I stopped by a walgreens and found the Orajel treatment. Love these little guys! If you use them when your sore is blistering they trigger the healing process to happen as the rubbing brakes the sores open! I know that sounds scary but as long as you follow the directions and let the numbing work before you start you won’t have any pain at all! I’ve been a cold sore sufferer for about 20 years now. Anyone who gets them will agree that they are painful, ugly, and embarrassing! I feel like I’ve tried most over the counter cold sore products, home remedies, supplements, and even have a prescription! All of these have had pretty dismal degrees of success.
