I see a lot of reviews on here of people complaining how they've used this specific brand for 50 years and all of a sudden it changes and now its no good to them. Im new to this brand and to ease some others about the skeptical view of other reviews on here, i think it tastes fine. Some say its too sweet. Well you should check the ingredients first or dont expect vanilla ice cream flavor to not taste sweet.. I got vanilla and thats exactly what it tastes like. Take a tub of vanilla ice cream and melt it and drink it. This taste better than most powders ive tried and if it doesnt taste that great to you, toughen up princess. After 1 year of pounding this stuff I have come to a couple of conclusions.1. Extreme milk chocolate is the only good flavor I've had. It's actually pretty tasty.2. First of all, I noticed the canister was almost full to the top with product. You cant even get a bag of chips that full anymore. The canister is also huge. Much bigger than my more expensive protien that only came half full. So right off I was impressed. I got the Vanilla Ice Cream and it smelled heavenly. I wasn't sure how good it would taste, but upon mixing it with unsweetened Almond Milk was pleasantly surprised. I had no issues with it mixing. I was skeptical since I can't tolerate the over the top artificial taste and sweetness in many of the protein drinks that are out there. This is by far and hands down the best tasting protein powder I have had. I mix it with unsweetened vanilla almond milk and it tastes like a vanilla shake. There's a few things that I look for when I'm looking at purchasing a new protein.1. Cost per gram of protein: 5/5 this product is one of the most cost effective protein supplements on the market, inexpensive to fit into your daily regimen .2. Mixability: 5/5 I have such a tough time when I get lumps in my protein, it's terrible tasting and makes me not want to drink it. When I was using this protein I noticed no lumps, even after putting it down for a few minutes.3.Taste: 5/5 The chocolate flavor is the best out of any protein powders that I've ever tried. Unbiased Review here folks. The taste is wonderful, I mixed one scoop, almond milk, a teaspoon of peanut butter and half banana. I'm taking this for dinner and fasting 12-15 hours (this stuff along with a few protein bars, controls my hunger that long). The Taste is unbelievably delicious, have you ever had that one peanut butter protein drink at Jamba Juice? well, this taste as good as that one (if not better). I've been on it for about 4 days, it gives me the extra boost at the gym (4-5 days a week, 1.5-hour workouts), it relaxes my muscles. The following morning I wake up energetic, I haven't felt like this for years! I'm 6' 2", 280 lbs looking to get to my desired goal of 220lbs by the end of the year. I'm no bodybuilder, I'm just an average overweight guy looking to get back in shape, lose serious weight and strengthen my Arms, Chest, Shoulders, and lose belly Fat. This review is only regarding flavors. So far I've had 3 different ones.Strawberry: taste like Strawberry Nesquik with milk/water. Great for shakes. Guaranteed yum.Double Rich Chocolate: Absolutely delicious. Not too sweet or chocolatey. Taste like the perfect chocolate milk. 10/10 would recommend if you're feeling basic.Cookies N Cream: WOW. This took a couple drinks to get used to. It taste like someone took all 3 packs of Oreos, removed the filling, put it in a blender with water (or milk) and mixed it together. Definitely more of a Cream with a dash Cookie kind of flavor. It's the kind of sweetness that makes your mouth go dry. Don't recommend for fruit/veggie shakes, unless you're into that sort of thing. I got the cookies and cream flavor and I would say it doesn't taste that good when I'm only mixing it with water. Also it doesn't mix that well without hot water. So I searched a recipe that I can do with this flavor: 1 scoop of whey protein powder, banana, 1spoon of PB, and milk of your choice (I use almond milk) and it turned out to be so yummy! It does not have a round disk at the cap, the serving scoop does not a logo on it, the expiry date and batch are on the side, not at the bottom of the tub, it does not have a manufacturing date, it does not have the usual mold mark at the bottom...Do I have a genuine product? Hola buen dia, yo recientemente compre este producto, Enero 18 del 2021, lamentablemente viéndolo con ojo de lupa, les comento que NO ES EL ORIGINAL; ya que hay detalles muy pequeños y sutiles que lo hacen evidente, el sello de seguridad esta por afuera y no por dentro, la tipografía de la letra, las orillas de las etiquetas vienen dañados, me hubiera gustado que alguien hubiera sido sincero en los comentarios y lo dijeran... pero no fue asi T_T, el olor a comparación del producto original es bajo, así mismo el sabor esta muy rebajado (Si es el producto como tal, no creo que sea pirata, pero pues se siente como rebajado o cortado), no se porque en los comentarios no dicen la verdad (será porque no han probado la original ni tienen un envase para comparar) o al menos este fue la experiencia que yo tuve con este producto en particular... After reading the top rated reviews I was hesitant to buy this protein powder via Amazon (other buyers receiving the tub with a broken or not original seal) but I did not want to pay shipping on top of the £23.99, which is the more expensive end for a protein powder in my opinion. I ordered the Vanilla Ice Cream Flavour and it had the real original seal on it. I’m glad to say that this is the best protein powder I have ever had. I’ve tried various flavours from myProtein, pHD and TheProteinWorks. Optimum Nutrition beats them all. It mixes very smoothly and has a pleasant vanilla taste, not too sweet and sickly.
