Guilt Under The Kilt is a very pretty medium red with more yellow hnderstkbes than blue. Very shiny but not metallic. The shine reminds me a bit of Affair In Red Square without the strong gold undertones. OPI’s Cajun Shrimp is my summer go to fave- the reddish orange which reminds me of Louisiana crawfish that I grew up eat during crawfish boils in New Orleans. I normally just use the regular nail polish but thought I would try the Infinite Shine since I always have to apply a shiny topcoat. I read prior reviews and thought maybe it was just a bad batch that other buyers received when they said the color was off. I took a gamble and it did not go in my favor. The Infinite Shine shade of Cajun Shrimp is a shade lighter than the normal polish. Idk if you can tell by the photo but it is def. noticeable in person when you have both bottles side by side- it’s more on the pink side with no orange in it at all. I almost want to say it’s a hybrid rose shade & do not recommend this version at all. Save your $12.50 and just buy the normal polish, OPI’s formulation is just plain wrong. I’ve been searching forever for that perfect wild juicy 50’s pinup shade of red but never found it until now. They’re usually too warm/orangey or ashen and cold looking. Coca Cola red is the perfect shade of vibrant RED red for olive skin tones. Also the infinite shine polish is amazing, when you use all 3 steps it lasts longer than a $$$ gel service with no harmful UV light, no appointment, so you’re not held hostage at a nail salon when you have somewhere to be, so that’s money well spent. I'm always skeptical of polish that supposedly is 'just like gel', but after a week of just one single coat of this on my nails - they still look flawless. The color is super-saturated and extremely shiny. I'm converted! Planning to buy several other colors and have already recommended to friends and family. This is such a gorgeous deep garnet red with a beautiful subtle shimmer. It is on the darker side of red and in low light it seems to loose the shimmer and has more of a deep creme gloss look, but in lots of light it shimmers and shines, without looking frosty or glittery.It goes on so smoothly with no streaking and thanks to OPI's ProWide brush it is easy to achieve precise application which is great if, like me, dark colours make you nervous! This is also, in my opinion, a true one coater - I tried 2 coats and could honestly see no difference - think of the time saved!This is from OPI Infinite Shine 3 step system -Primer - Long Wear Lacquer - Gloss. it is suggested that you use this nail lacquer with step 1 & 3 to give a gel-like, high shine professional finish that can last up to 11 days without the use of an LED light and removes easily with regular nail polish remover.I did try this as soon as I got it without the primer and gloss and be warned - it does chip without them! I applied the primer, 2 coats of nail lacquer (although next time I’ll just use 1;) and finished with a thin coat of Gloss and so far no chips!I will come back and edit how many days wear I get from this! Don’t worry if you’re thinking that 4 coats may seem like a lot of time and effort, all of these products dry super quick and the glossy, stunningly shiny results are definitely worth the effort.This is the perfect eye catching colour for Christmas and even suited my pale skin tone - which pleased me as most reds make my hands look washed out.At £15.50 (10/12/20) it is a premium price but this is a premium product and I think the price reflects this. I have used OPI nail products for many years. I always apply a thin coat of OPI Infinite Shine ProStay Primer which makes applying the nail polish go on very easy. 3 strokes and that’s all that’s needed. OPI are so pigmented ... it’s not necessary to apply 2 coats if colour but I tend to do it! I think it’s merely just a habit! Once dry, I finish off applying one coat of ProStay Gloss to give the nails a beautiful shine.In spring/summer, I always wear Big Apple Red which is a bright vibrant red and in the autumn/winter time it will either be OPI Raisin the Bar or this one which is Bogota Blackberry. Loved the shade of red ! Just right for Christmas. I wore it with a top coat (included ) and a primer. It lasted for around 5 days, mainly because I was washing up a lot. It then started to peel off in a large piece, which was a shame. Probably would have lasted better otherwise. Read more
