As the title says, this is why I buy them. Expensive as they are. At around 70 cents a strip, and 2-3 tests a day, I have to balance price vs accuracy. My 'alternative' type reads high, so I have to be careful on self dosage injections. When using it, I go 'conservative' on dosage amounts. Better to not OD, and drop my blood sugar TOO LOW. I notice they have changed from a blue box, to a green box. They also have gone from a 50 ct box to a 30 ct box, so value for money is less. Also right now the amount of shipper options is now down to one right now. hopefully that improves soon, or I will start looking for a accurate and cheaper alternative. Package came in a padded bag inside a outer mailing bag by UPS. Delivery was quick 2 day, which is very good, no damage. Last: expiration date is 8/20/22.....excellent, but will be used up in a month.UPDATE : 11/20/21Still buying them from this retailer as they arrive quickly and with over a year at least before expiration. They also have a low margin of strip failure, so a low waste of strips. Just recently I was diagnosed as a prediabetic. I had to go into the hospital for surgery. (not related) but they suggested I monitor my blood sugar since I was healing from surgery. Since I started to monitor my sugar, I can hold myself accountable. It’s easy to blow it off if you can’t see your levels. My insurance stopped covering my strips and I just needed a couple weeks worth to finish pregnancy, and this was cheaper than buying full price from my pharmacy. Plenty of time left prior to expiration, was shipped in an insulated envelope, and manufacturing details were exactly the same as the ones I get from the pharmacy. Read more
