At first I thought this was going to be weaker than the old Vicks inhalers but it's stronger and more refreshing. It REALLY clears up the nose too! I can say I've found a replacement for the old Vick's inhalers. As a night time stuffiness sufferer, I have tried breathe right strips, saline sprays, OTC allergy meds like Flonase, and other natural dry nose products with no real benefit. While Benzedrex inhaler does help, it has some nasty chemicals from what I've read and I had wanted to find something safer. After a week with Olbas I can definitively say it works great. It is not a cure, but it does offer relief by opening my nasal passage by my unscientific estimate of 25% and has an immediate effect. By comparison, breathe right strips claim to open passages up by as much as 38% (not for me), but those didn't do much for me and left a red line across my nose all day long after wearing at night. I feel I have slept better after a couple sniffs of Olbas and while it does not always last all night, I fall asleep more easily and sleep more deeply for most of the night. On a couple occasions I did wake up in the morning still breathing clearly so my hope is that the effects may be cumulative or that possibly some healing is taking place that may continue to improve my breathing. I am generally skeptical of claims about the effectiveness of "natural" products but I have found this product lives up to the hype. I strongly recommend this product for safe, temporary relief of mild to moderate sinus restriction (congestion/inflammation). Not for small children, read the label. Read more

When I received it I though I thought it would be in a different container and wondered will this really work. I have used over the counter and prescription sinus meds and I either had reactions to them or they did not work. I used it and gave my husband one. My husband asked me after having it for a few weeks "where did you get this?" I asked why and he said IT WORKS! I was so surprised because he has tried them all too! It seems to be safe and it works. Goodness why do I love this thing?! It smells amazing and really helps open my sinuses. I tend to get headaches when my nose is dry, when the air pressure drops, or if I’m sleepy— but this thing helps alleviate that pain (even momentarily). I was tired of huffing saline solution since t\hat just seemed to dry me out more, and I didn’t need something full of chemicals since my condition isn’t that bad... that’s why this thing is perfect! I had one of these that I purchased back in 2006 and found it going through an old moving box - it was still working after all those years but I wasn't sure it was safe so I ordered a new one - I have to say while I am going through CHEMO this has helped a ton with nausea and has helped soothe my sensitive nose whenever unpleasant smells make me sick.. These things are a life saver, my doctor told me not to use the vics brand inhaler as over time they will make your condition (if you have a persistent problem) worse...these are all natural though so he said you can use them all day every day and it won’t hurt, I keep one on me at all times...being able to go from only getting 15% of the air flow I’m supposed to be having to 80-90% instantly is worth the $6!
