I don't think this is a legitimate Olay product. First of all it burnt my skin. Secondly the bottle looked really cheap and the label very generic. Do not buy this, it might burn your skin like mine. Read more
I don't know why this was so horrible for me. I don't even have sensitive skin, but it burned and immediately dried my skin to leather. Returned.UPDATE... I had started using vitamin c serum and I'm pretty sure this is the reason this product reacted on me. I will give it some time and try it again but in the meantime, I'm using baby cleanser without a problem. Read more
I am 70 years old and have had sensitive skin, especially on my face, for as long as I can remember. I've also developed Rosacea. This moisturized is so lightweight and creamy. And it has helped with my "rosy" complexion in just one week of use. Just love it. In fact I'm gifting both my adult daughters with a jar of their own. I know they will love it too. Read more
I ordered this in a hurry, without checking any reviews, because I was running out of sensitive skin face cleanser, which my husband and I both use. He and I both have "moderately" sensitive skin, and I only buy mild fragrance-free toiletries and laundry products. Usually they work fairly well for us. This was a TOTAL DISASTER! First *I used it, rinsed it off, and applied a sensitive skin moisturizer with 15 SPF sunscreen. Within an hour my face started to itch. Washed thoroughly with some Garnier creamy cleanser, then applied a very, very mild Paula's Choice moisturizer with no sunscreen. Asked my husband if he wanted the rest of the Olay cleanser, and he said "sure." Well, his experience was even worse than mine - probably because he assumed that since it was a creamy cleanser, it wasn't necessary to bother rinsing it off completely!!! Anyway, his skin actually broke out in bumps, and he had to use an OTC hydrocortisone cream for a couple of days! Unbelievable!!! Read more
This item arrived dumped into an envelope. There was no safety seal on this, and the pump was already primed! 🤬 The interior had gross, congealed gunk around the edge, and 1/4 of it looked like it was already gone. I bought a used product?! I don’t appreciate it it. I’m not even going to hassle with a return, but this is definitely going in the trash. Shame on people for selling used products! Read more
I’ve been struggling with adult acne since I turned 30. So far this doesn’t seem to break me out. I use it at night before I go to bed. Also, for my skin, it’s not drying. I haven’t used it to solely remove makeup so I don’t know if it will do a great job at that. But so far it’s a decent product. Read more
I have sensitive skin and my skin will burn with other cleansers. But this one doesn’t do that. I have always gotten in the habit of putting on my cleanser in the shower quickly but gently rubbing all over my face and then immediately rinsing it off because if I leave it on too long my skin starts BURNING. After a successful first run, I decided to test this one’s limits even further and left it on my skin longer and decided to take my time like a normal person and was pleasantly surprised to not experience any burning sensation at all.The scent is a bit strong in my opinion, especially for a cleanser aimed for sensitive skin but it is still pleasant. The consistency is that of a light lotion and it is really easy to apply and work on your face and easy to remove as well. This cleanser is my new holy grail. So cheap, doesn’t burn during application and leaves my face feeling clean and soft afterwards. Read more
I like these moisturizer because it helps with 2 other products that i use controls the oily, slick look that was started on my face 10 years ago. I’ve tried several products and my face was an oily mess, I tried very expensive products to non-expensive products and oil oil oil. My mother has used Olay since I was young and her face looks so good looks like she still looks like she’s in her 50’s. Anyway I decided to give this a go, no recommendations this isn’t even the one my mother used but after a few days I noticed little to no oil for 6 months. But I decided to get sassy and try to incorporate different olays and mix and remove and add other products and the oil began again with in days. Lesson learned stick to what I know works. I would recommend this product. Read more
It's not a bad cream but it's definitely better for maybe dry skin.. I wanted to use this because I use actives that leave my skin feeling dry but this cream gave me bumpy texture didn't break me out badly small flare-up but many tiny bumps. Read more
This did lessen the red in my face and overall was calming. However I found it congested my pores and didn't spread liberally - a bit thick for my taste. And not that moisturizing either. For those who aren't acne prone and anti redness is their main concern, I'd recommend. Read more
This Sensitive Calming Facial Moisturizer immediately attracted my attention as it’s marketed for sensitive skin types and it’s supposed to be calming plus it’s FRAGRANCE-FREE! I love when companies come out with fragrance-free skin care products as I’ve noticed that added fragrance is mildly irritating to my skin which isn’t good since I’m already using other products which can sensitize my skin like tretinoin, AHAs and salicylic acid.I was super impressed by the ingredients list as well since it’s chock-full of great skin-healthy ingredients like panthenol, niacinamide, aloe and cucumber! I noticed immediately how soothing this felt when I applied it on my skin which had recently become over-sensitized due to overuse of actives (Vitamin C and benzoyl peroxide + adapalene).I haven’t experienced any breakouts or other skin reactions since introducing this moisturizer so I think it suits my oily and acne-prone skin. It is thicker in consistency than other lotions and moisturizers I’ve tried but it sinks in and absorbs fully without leaving a greasy film or sticky coating on my face. You only need to use a small amount to fully coat your face. I recommend applying it to damp skin to help seal in moisture and keep your face hydrated. I’m only using it as a night cream for now. I quite like this facial moisturizer from Olay (Olay Sensitive Calming Facial Moisturizer, Fragrance-Free, 60 Ml).There is a lot to like about it - it's fragrance-free and non-irritating - I didn't break out in any rashes. It's also really lightweight and not heavy or greasy like some moisturizers can be. It's therefore easy to use day or night, although I don't see that it has any sun protection (SPF) so you may wish to layer the sunscreen on or restrict the use of this moisturizer when you're not exposing your skin to sunlight.Overall, this is a really nice, basic but not pedestrian, facial moisturizer that should appeal to a wide audience, especially given its reasonable price point. Olay Sensitive Calming Facial Moisturizer (with Hungarian Water Essence) is a slam dunk for me in terms of how effective it is and how easy and comfortable it is to use. Whether it will be right for you, very much depends on your budget. If you’re looking solely based on how effective it is, this moisturiser worked fantastically well on my Combination skin.I’ve always enjoyed Olay products for their simplicity and was pleased to see this was as good as other Olay Moisturizers that I’ve used.------------------------Effectiveness------------------------With some face creams it can take up to four weeks to see an effect, but after only a week’s use of Olay Sensitive Facial Moisturiser I noticed a difference. My skin was more even and fresher. I felt like my skin was more hydrated, but the biggest difference was in touch feel. My facial skin felt so soft and nice to the touch. It was a massive difference.-------------------------------Ease of use/Consistency-------------------------------I found this to be a fairly thick cream, which I like. Since Olay Sensitive Facial Moisturiser is so thick though, it’s really more suitable as a night cream. Besides, they have a pump bottle version with an SPF that’s more suited to day use. Despite it’s thick consistency, it’s easily spreadable and I found it absorbed within ten minutes with no oiliness or stickiness.Like other Olay creams, the lack of fragrance benefits sensitive skin, but also means it’s a really pleasant experience. There’s no weird or overly strong smell, just a gentle cream scent that won’t irritate anyone!------------------------Value------------------------I did find it to be slightly higher priced than most Olay creams, but this is likely due to it being specifically designed for sensitive skin. If you have another skin type, you can definitely find an Olay moisturiser in your budget, but those with sensitive or easily inflamed skin might want to splurge on this.-------------------Summary--------------------A great moisturiser, that’s better suited as a night cream, Olay Sensitive Calming Facial Moisturiser ticks all the boxes. Since it’s lacking fragrance, dye, oil, silicones and parabens it’s perfect for those wanting a ‘cleaner’ moisturiser. I will continue to use this.Pros+ Free of all the nasties (Fragrance, Dye, Oil, Silicones and Parabens).+ Effective in softening, calming and freshening skin. (On Combination skin)+ Recommended and designed specifically for sensitive skin.+ Gentle Cream scent that is pleasant.+ Comfortable and easy to spread. Medium thick consistency.Cons- Better as a night cream.- More Highly Priced than some Olay offerings.Recommended: Yes, for everyone except those on a tight budget (you can choose another Olay product as I’ve found them all to be very effective), but especially for those with Sensitive Skin.
