This is my new favorite conditioner. Not only do I love the mint smell, it makes me hair feel great. I have heavily processed + thick hair that needs a lot of help, but many of the more common “restoring” conditioners have silicons and are tested on animals. So listen everyone, I don’t right reviews as often as I should since I rely on them so much, BUT I had to write a review for this product. It took me 12 years to find it. My 12 year old daughter has thick, coarse and curly hair that dries very easily. My hair is thick but soft and get weighed down by oil easily. This product works on both. I have done my own hair for years (since freshman year in college and I am now 38 years old), and I have a strict regimen. This product works really well with Mizani smooth guard conditioner. After shampooing with the black castor oil shampoo by Okay (rinse out), I use this Okay conditioner and comb through with a big tooth comb. While it’s still in, I comb through the Mizani thermasmooth conditioner and Comb through with a skinny tooth comb (mixing conditioner doesn’t always go well but this makes the hair smooth like butter). I rinse out really well and towel dry. I add a small amount of Shea Moisture Strengthen and Restore Hair serum and comb through with big tooth comb. Then Use the Jinri 1876W Salon Dryer and blow dry straight with big tooth attachment. I part hair in fours and flat iron each section with Rusk CTC Technology flat iron. I curl with the flat iron, wrap and tie up. In the morning, her hair looks like she came straight from a celebrity salon. I am not tooting my horn as her stylist (I only do my hair and hers), but I am excited I finally found the right mix for her hair after 12 years of experimenting. I am a BIG believer that there is no such thing as “good hair,” but all hair can be good when you adjust to the personality of a particular hair type. We all have the hair God wanted is to have. I have used other hair products by OKAY and have been highly satisfied, but this is a winner and a keeper. I purchased the shampoo and conditioner and it left my 4B/4C hair type feeling so soft and manageable. I was able to comb threw my hair with ease. After trying this conditioner and the coconut oil shampoo, I have decided that this works well for my hair texture. I was so highly pleased that I gave my other shampoos and conditioners to my adult granddaughter. She plans to purchase this product herself once she is out of what I had given her. Silky soft outcome. I'm getting so many complements on my hair. My curly hair friends now want the product. Flat ironing my hair does well when preceded with this product. Nice scent. Seems moisturing until my hair dried. Tangled and very dry. I used My Okay Black Jamaican Castor Oil conditioner and did a leave in with heat for 45 mins. Would not recommend.
