It is sulfate free. Sulfonate and sulfate are two different components. Sulfonate is related to but not the same as sulfate. Sulfonate the sulfur is linked direct to a carbon atom; where as a sulfate is linked directly to the carbon chain via an oxygen atom. I have a Chemistry background. it is good for people to know this. Shampoo is sulfate free; and it is not misleading. Read more
Haven’t tried it yet because the item is mislabeled. It clearly states sulfate free on the front of the bottle but under the ingredients list it has plenty. Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate and Phenoxyethanol are on there. Won’t be buying again Read more
I have 4b/4c combo hair so finding something that works well has been difficult. Additionally, my hair has been falling out so I was kind of scared to try something new. So far, so good. I've used this three times, in conjunction with the conditioner. I like it. It smells fine, and it doesn't have anything in it that's bad for my hair. It’s affordable. I like how my hair feels and smells after washing. It has not contributed to hair loss, nor does it make my hair feel dry or like plastic. I think I found a winner. :) Read more
I did my research on different hair growth products and this one did the trick for me. I lost a lot of hair after I gave birth to my baby and this shampoo and conditioner has been doing it’s job. I also have been using the castor oil as well. Read more
I have colored, thin and straight hair. I’m also almost 60 . My hair tends to dry out and have split ends. I love this shampoo! It moisturizes my hair and it makes my hair softer. I really like the smell too. I can wash my hair daily with this shampoo and my hair still looks good. It is a very thick shampoo so I tend to dissolve it with filtered water. Read more
I stumbled upon the shampoo & conditioner at TJMAXX and after using it for one month my hair is thicker & growing great. Even my finger nails are thick & long from massaging them into my scalp! Read more
I've been using the shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner together, for about 3 weeks and I have noticed the difference in my hair already. It's getting thicker. The product smells pretty good, kind of grape-fruity. If I had to critique something, I would say that it does leave a touch of weight on my hair, But compared to similar products I've tried, the extra weight is a mild side effect. I will post an update in a month or so and let you know the progress. I'm also slightly annoyed that they make their logo so similar to OLAY, but I'm nitpicking. Good product so far....stay tuned. I used my shampoo a couple of days ago and I love the smell of it I also just received my castor oil and I'm getting my hair done on Sunday and I'll be using both products along with a little bit of lavender oil so I can't wait to try the castor oil with the lavender oil I talked to a hair care specialist because I told her that my hair on top is starting to thin just a little bit because I'm 57 and she told me to take 5 drops of lavender oil and mix it with the castor oil when I put it in my hair which is down to my shoulders but not as thick as it used to be so I can't wait to see what happens Read more
. This shampoo smells like ground black pepper - not a hint of cherry blossoms - it is very watery but it cleaned my fine hair & made it feel a little fuller right after drying it, next day: back to normal volume. *It turns out they shipped me expired product. In August 2019 they sent me a bottle expired December 2018. Amazon did issue a refund to me. Read more
this shampoo smells really good and lathers up really well but am not sure yet if the dryer-feeling hair afterwards comes from the shampoo or the brand of conditioner I'm using (Bert's Bees), which is the only reason why I'm giving it a 4-star rating rather than 5 - I have fine hair and a sensitive scalp (which it doesn't irritate) so perhaps someone else has a better response to the after-effects of the shampoo. I love the way my hair feels after using the shampoo and the conditioner. People have asked me what I have changed about my hair (and they compliment me), and all I did was wash it with this product! I started using it because I wanted to avoid all those chemicals that are so bad for you, while also helping my hair get back to it's usual fullness. I have all that and more :) Read more
I love this leave in conditioner. I have longer hair but I still only need to use a small amount. Smells awesome. Read more
I appreciate that this is natural and not sticky due to the castor oil content. My curly frizzy hair performs well with this product Read more
