I loved this product at first. It smells great and my hair loved it. But I had never used a keratin product before, and I was leaving it in my hair for longer than the recommended 3-5 minutes while I showered. I started losing a lot more hair than usual during shampooing and styling, but by the time I realized that there was a problem, I had lost HALF my hair. I had no idea that too much keratin can make your hair fall out. MAKE SURE you only leave it in for the recommended time. Was shopping for a new shampoo, love OGX body wash, so decided to try their shampoos/conditioners - The "ever straightening" got my attention, because although my hair is long, it has a slight curl to it, which I hate. OMG - this stuff was a miracle for my hair - the shampoo itself left my hair feeling silky as I was rinsing it out and it smelled amazing! Then moving to the conditioner, it was even softer! So I have always had fine hair, it drove my mom nuts when I was a kid because my hair was so fine and dry that when I would wake in the morning it was nothing but knots and I would throw a HUGE fit about her brushing it, and even after brushing it within a few hours it looked like it had not been brushed very well, as I got older this did not change, I would clean it and brush it and it would fly all over the place and get knots, I have to wash every day because if I don't somehow my dang hair finds a way to be dry, frizzy AND greasy. So after my salon moved to a new location that has very poor bus service I stopped going because getting to and from was a problem, I got stranded out there one time because the last bus of the day showed up about 20 mine early. So my journey in finding new shampoo and conditioner, started and I have VERY high expectations because the products they have are very good. I can’t even count how many different shampoos and condoners I have tried in the last year or so, I found this product while browsing Amazon and decided to give it a try. This shampoo is horrible, and yes I know people will say you get what you pay for and that cheap normally means the product is poor, but I know that’s not always true, after all the salon I use to go to, proved that to not be true in all cases. No matter how long or well I rinsed, my hair had an oily film left, it did not leave my hair feeling clean or smooth, it left it feeling heavy and greasy and not very clean. I got this because it had keratin, was Sulfate free, said it was good for dry frizzy hair, well my hair after using this shampoo sure was not frizzy, it was heavy and greasy, it also said it was safe to use on color-treated hair, just a warning for you ladies out there that have color treated hair, it’s NOT safe for color-treated hair, I colored my hair about two weeks before I used this shampoo and within a week of use my color was very faded, to the point I now have to redo my color, I use John Frieda Precision Foam Colour and have for about a year and have NEVER had my color fade as fast as it did after using this shampoo. Needless to say I give up, even if it means cutting down from cut, color and highlights and to maybe just cut and color so I can take an uber I am going back to my salon where I KNOW they have good hair care products. My hair is curly and dry and a bit thin. Therefore I cannot over use products that make my hair feel heavy and oily but it needs a bit of moisture. I loved this spray while blow drying my hair in sections I would spray a little bit and it would come out shiny and soft not greasy. Very thick conditioner. You only need a drop and some water to cover your head with it. It's genuinely paraben & sulfate-free with minimal alcohols. Alcohols are what both clean, and also dry out the hair and scalp. With that, that also means that the fragrance is light and it smells like chocolate. 😍 So yummy. I'm sure the shampoo is all fine and good, but I purchase this because I needed a salt-free shampoo for Brazilian keratin treatment aftercare. From the description here, the ingredients are fine. However, the ingredients listed on the bottle I received listed Sodium Chloride right there near the top. If I hadn't been cautious and read the bottle, I could have wasted all the time, effort, and money I've just put into the keratin treatment. I hope the description is corrected soon to save unsuspecting customers who rightly thought they could trust the ingredients listed online! Read more

Do not be fooled by the name - whilst the shampoo may have keratin inside it, it is not suitable for Keratin treated hair. Salt and Sulfates must be avoided to keep the treatment lasting longer - this shampoo contains both.It has sulfates such as Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, and Sodium Chloride (Salt) as well as other abrasive ingredients. Sodium Chloride is only listed on the physical product itself (and not mentioned in the ingredients online!)Do NOT use this shampoo on Keratin treated hair as it will wash out your expensive treatment and it will be a waste of money.
