I have an oily face. And I don’t mean a cute little shine. I mean the words “she’s a greasy broad”, comes to mind when people see me after four hours, even with makeup on. My face laughs at rice powder, oil blotters and other paltry means disguise. My hair is stuck to my head 24 hours after a shower. You could fry an egg on my face if I was left out in the sun. I’m relatively certain that if you got stranded on a deserted island, you could make a torch out of material, just rub it on my forehead and then light it to keep you in the light all night. Special creams and powders are (usually) no match for my skin.So yeah, I was skeptical. $30 for a non-shiny face was no huge investment (if it worked) and Prime made me feel secure that if this stuff sucked like everything else I’ve tried, I’d be able to recoup more wasted dollars.I decided to jump in head first (hahaha) and try it the first day with NO BASE MAKEUP AND NO POWDER. I wanted to put this stuff to the ultimate test. I did as was recommended on the box to apply and then moved on about my day.It doesn’t last 8 hours. But I can tell you that it fully lasted 4 hours and after 8 hours, my face was markedly less oily than it was without it. Which for someone who truly struggles with oily skin is a godsend. My daughter has oily skin in her T zone. We are Italian... she’s 15...it’s just the nature of things!She has been trying various products over the years to control her oil from blotting sheets to expensive creams. This was recommended to us by our dermatologist . I am a guy, 36 years old but I started losing hair when I was 26. Since then I decided to shave my head and I have the constant problem of the oily scalp (this is normal because when hair is no longer there the oil produced will look more evident). This cream is good and absorbs excessive oil. I have to re-apply every couple of hours if I am particularly stressed or doing a lot and tend to sweat a little bit more. This stuff is incredible. I have EXTREMELY oily, non-acne prone skin. Seriously-I get so shiny I could literally wipe the oil from my face and I have tried everything-primers, mattifiers, powders, toners etc, and never found relief.I took a chance on this-no, it doesn't keep me matte for 8hrs. I'm a guy with excessively oily skin, this product works Great! It lasted about five to six hours for me! Which is what I expected it to last! I would definitely recommend this product if you have oily skin. Most of the time I'm in a hurry, so I use a toner to remove the oil first. Then I apply the OC Eight! If necessary later in the day I will use Neutrogena Shine Control Powder or Etude House Zero Sebum Drying Powder!I definitely will reorder this when I'm out of it! Read more

I work in a dermatology office and we actually recommend this product. I myself struggle with excessively oily skin. Along with an oral medication, this is the best product so far. I have tried dozens. I personally do recommend a salicylic acid face wash and toner, your sunscreen, then this product, topped with a mattifying makeup primer. Without the make up primer and when I use regular face wash, the oil can break through a bit. But if I follow every step to prepare my face it lasts almost all day. Read more

AmazingI have very oily skin and I also live in Texas with humidity and 100 degree temps. So imagine the issues I have with makeup application. I’ve used so many of the expensive $30+ products. Love it.Make sure you wait a bit after moisturizing before applying. Your skin will feel a bit sticky after applying so wait again for about five to ten minutes for the product to set before powder or foundation. I use only a tinted powder so I am not sure how it works with liquid foundation. Controls oil the whole day. Read more
