These are a very affordable option for tampons, especially organic tampons. They don’t leak, and the strings don’t break when you pull it out. However, for the applicator-free tampons, they are extremely hard to get out of the plastic covering! Kora’s applicator-free tampons have a perforated line so that you can easily break the plastic away, but unfortunately the plastic on these has nothing to help you get into them. I’ve always liked OB. It being applicatorless may throw some people off but I like that that means less waste and more storage space in my tiny medicine cabinet and pockets.I’ve found that I never leak with this brand. I am happy that this brand has an organic cotton option.I’ve tried Cora, Rae and Seventh Generation and this remains to be my favorite.My only complaint is that OB has some intensely tight plastic wrapping which can be extremely frustrating. been an OB fan for years.just tuck one in your bra.decided to try the organic because that’s what people are doing these days...they appear to be packaged in the same cellophane as standard OB tampons, however, they are 100% more difficult to open.like, a normal OB tampon you drag your finger/fingernail across the branding and you find the tab, pull, unwrap - go back to being a boss.this morning i cried and attempted to chew it open.it’s not just the one. it is the entire box.i guess keep a lil pair of scissors or pry it open with a pair of tweezers.back or original OB for me.oh, otherwise lovely tampon. The tampon itself is fine, glad there is an organic option now. But these are almost impossible to open. Especially when you aren’t home and don’t have something around to help rip it open. And even more of an issue if in a dim public bathroom. The plastic packaging must be designed by men. Maybe these can be opened in a design lab, but not in real life. And I thought the non-organic ones were a bit difficult to open...Also - the change in the color corresponding to absorbency (vs. non-organic) is super annoying. I just bought these because I wanted to try tampons that were organic. I love how there is no leakage but I just cant get over the packaging. The box itself is small and compact but trying to get the tampon out of the plastic is a nightmare. It took me a couple of minutes just to get it out. Im not really liking that there isn't an applicator but that is not a big deal. When I'm out somewhere these tampons it would just be time consuming to deal with. Read more
