This product is very weird. It only works if you either have a foundation underneath it or a cream, otherwise it smirrs all over and the color changes. So if you use a cream or a foundation before applying the lipstick, then it is great but if you apply this on a clean face you'll look like a clown, well, I did. I 'bleeds' and the color becomes like an orange/redish type of distasteful stuff. HOWEVER, if you use a cream or a foundation, everything changes and you'll have a beautiful lipstick that glides easily on your lips and give you the enhanced velvet color you want. To be honest, I dind't know that and I was going to trash it out. Look up a swatch of the shade you're looking at online before you buy it, the pictures here are not even close to the shade you're getting. I knew about this and ordered the shade I wanted and got that exact shade, I just wanted to make sure anyone reading reviews knows that the pictures on here are literally many, MANY shades away from what you're purchasing. Whipped Caviar is a gorgeous shade, definitely one of my favorite from NYX, I'm just saying the image shown for it is not accurate whatsoever. It is, however, a gorgeous color. Great dupe for “lady danger” by Mac. I you have olive skin tone and or medium skin or tan. Red orange will look more red. It will brighten up your face. No need to get all dolled up. Matte and clean. This review includes comparing other Nyx matte colors, including Tea Rose. This is a matte lipstick that is not moisturizing but also not drying. I have semi-sensitive lips that burn if lipstick is to drying and I didn’t have that issue with this. The color is pretty highly pigmented. The color is not long lasting but it isn’t advertised that way.The tea rose is a cool color with purple undertones. The Nyx matte strawberry daiquiri doesn’t look like strawberry at all but looks like coho salmon with strong orange on my lips. Nyx matte Audrey is a white based bright pink with cooler blue undertones. I compared Audrey to the color Effervescent in the Nyx velvet matte line because they look so similar. In my pics you can see the effervescent (left) compared to Audrey. The effervescent has a bit of a warmer undertone compared to the Audrey which has blue undertones but overall both are very bright on my warmer skin tone.I like tea Rose the best Read more
