This lactase enzyme did not make the milk palatable. as a matter of fact a curdled and rotted most of the milk within minutes to an hour. Rendering any milk that it was added to terrible in flavor unpalatable to eat and eventually sour and curdled. This company has a terrible return policy and tells Amazon that it requires the product back. If you're on the fence about it just don't buy it and go find a reputable brand name. Read more

Love this powder. It works great! I can eat cottage cheese and other cheeses, things with cultured butter and milk and anything else with lactose in it. You will have to play with dosage a bit because sometimes 1 scoop is too much and I don't want to waste it. Other times it takes a full scoop. But it works very well and contains no fillers or other garbage in the powder. Zero flavor, other than the drink you mix it into. Thanks for this great product!! Read more

I bought this product a 2nd time (7/2021) in this larger quantity size b/c the 1st purchase about 9 mos earlier was fine. This 2nd purchase was HORRIBLE and made all my drinks or food taste really really bad like rotten. I mixed it w/just bottled water to test it, and it was still horribly disgusting like bitter mold and it made my cups smell bad until I cleaned them w/vinegar. I tossed the tube immediately. Not sure if 2 days of 105*F temps in WA last July caused it to spoil or what. In hindsight, I should’ve ask for a refund but I didn’t open or use the product immediately after purchase. Read more

I meant to get only Lactase to use to treat milk and half and half. This has other enzymes which interfered withthe treatment . It contains Bromelain, Protease, Amylase, Lipase as well as Lactase. It was my fault in that I did not look carefully at the product I ordered. Plain Lactase is available, and I may order that.I plan to use it as a dietary supplement, adding a small scoop [comes with it] to 8 to 12 oz water.Lactaid pills can be used to treat half and half- I used 2 pills with 5 Tablespoons of 1/2 and 1/2 for about 8 hours in the refrigerator with occasional mixing. Good for 2 cups of coffee. Read more

Grand kids are highly lactose intolerant, a little of this sprinked on ice cream or anything cheesey or stirred into yogurt or cottage cheese and no problem! Works better than the tablets. However, if we stir it into milk or yogurt to let it sit to make "lactose free" it does weird things, makes it like spoiled, so it is really only good for immediate use. It doesn't change the flavor or texture at all. Read more

This does help with removing lactose from milk. It needs to be dissolved in a tiny bit of hot water before being added to the milk or it lumps. The biggest problem is that it has so many impurities in it that you can't leave milk with the lactase added to sit for more than a few hours without it making the milk taste rotten. Even after just three hours, it will make the milk thicken and separate if it is heated. So, you have to use quite a bit of the powder to offset the short time. Which makes it less cost effective than it might be. I've been using two scoops for a pint of milk and letting it sit for two hours. Will try a different lactase product next time. Read more

Not chunky at all. I dont know what the reviewer was complaining about but the powder was fine enough to dissolve within minutes of stirring. I tried a sip and the consistency and taste remained the same as normal milk.I poured some cold milk into the glass and mixed one scoop in until completely dissolved. I repeated this twice and poured them both back into the jug. So 2 scoops into a one gallon jug.I'll update the effects after letting it sit and then using it. Read more

Put it in Eggnog, Greek yogurt, etc. Let it sit for a few hours before I used it with the Greek yogurt and I was fine after. For the eggnog I waited a full day. Used about 2 scoops dissolved in about an ounce of warm water then added to the half gallon jug. I'm pretty sensitive to lactose. I was fine after drinking the next day(waited 24 hrs). Great product!
