My daughter has had a hard time getting her ear piercings to heal. After reading all of the reviews I was hoping this would be our miracle. Before we tried this they had some scabbing. After using this product for two days she developed huge pus balls underneath the skin. It is heartbreaking that we are now worse off then how we started. My mom used to raise emu and render her own emu oil, so I learned about it's healing benefits a long time ago, and learned that it truly works for whatever skin ailment you might have. I'm not really one of those believers in "natural remedies" but time and time again emu oil has proven it works.as far as THIS specific emu oil, it is of great quality. there is a bit of an odor to it (not nearly as much as my mothers homemade stuff though) and it smells just like when she rendered it, this leads me to believe that i'm actually getting the real thing. I have a triple forward helix that's about 6 weeks old and has just not been healing well. The area typically flares up during the day while I'm active, and the area will hurt if I smile or clench my face but feels fine when I don't think about it. I use this oil 2 times a day after I clean the piercings and it has helped so much with the redness and inflammation that comes about during the day and provides almost immediate relief and settles everything down until the next flare-up. The consistency is a little thick coming out of the bottle but then melts down once it comes into contact with the skin because of body heat (or at least that's what happens to me), so you need far less oil than you think you need to use, which means you can really stretch your money with this. I changed out my nose piercing and it became very sore and hurt to the touch. So I started using sea salt baths and tea tree oil but it was not getting better.. actually it hurt more. So I read the reviews on this product and decided to try it. It came yesterday afternoon.. I used it immediately, than used it again before bed. This morning my nose piercing does not hurt, it is no longer red. I used a very tiny amount on the outside and the inside of my nose. This is a life saver for any piercing. I’ve used it on both my nose piercings from the start and I’ve never experienced an easier healing process.
