Phytoestrogen supplements should not be taken daily as they are too concentrated in supplement-form compared to those you would obtain from foods like soybeans. For this reason I take one capsule every 3 days and try to eat soy, flax, alfalfa sprouts, and other foods known to contains modest amounts of phytoestrogens. So far I have found that taken this supplement improves my sleep, and makes me sleep in. I suspect this is because it blunts morning cortisol through its hormonal actions. For reference, I am taking phytoestrogens (soy isoflavonoes and coumestrol from red clover) experimentally for lipedema, as lipedema is currently believed to be caused by under-expression of estrogen receptor alpha in adipose tissue. I have been using this product for "hot flashes" for about 5 years. I was taken off of estrogen about 8 years ago due to it causing blood clots.
