The media could not be loaded.  [+] WHITE GLOVE REVIEW [w/ VIDEO]I use this product to reduce inflammation in my hands. In the morning, my hands started to become inflamed. They felt bloated/puffy, it was difficult to move my fingers, my joints hurt a little bit, and they were stiff (i.e., not flexible). They didn't look swollen, they just felt that way. This happened when I woke up, but then they would return to normal during the day as I became active. Sometimes I only felt the effects for 5-10 minutes, and sometimes it lasted for hours.I have a background in nutrition, so I realized this could be a symptom of systemic inflammation. I know of two good causes of systemic inflammation, which are an imbalance of Omega-3 to Omega-6's and high homocysteine levels. I tried taking extra fish oil to help balance out my Omega-3 to -6 ratio, but that didn’t help. I was already taking extra B-12 and Folate, but I was not taking extra B-6. All three are needed to regulate homocysteine levels. I started taking Now P-5-P along with B-12 and Folate. The next morning, I felt a noticeable (about 50%) improvement. I kept taking all three once a day in the evening. Each day I noticed more improvement. It took somewhere between 1-2 weeks before my symptoms were about 95% gone. Eventually, all my symptoms disappeared (I didn’t keep track of how long it took). Now, when I wake up in the morning, my hands have no discomfort and work like normal (i.e., no inflammation and perfectly flexible).[+] HOMOCYSTEINE CYCLEThe important thing to note is that all three (B-6, B-12, and Folate) need to be taken. Remember, I was taking two of the three and I still experienced elevated homocysteine levels. I will include links below for the products I take.It is my opinion that the homocysteine cycle is not very well understood by nutritionists or treated properly as a cause of inflammation. You can google it to find out more about it. Also, it is likely that only an older person might experience this, but there is no reason it might not happen to a younger person as well (just not as likely).[+] USAGEI take all three once per day. The B-6 and Folate can be taken on an empty stomach. The B-12 is taken with a lozenge under the tongue. The B-6 (P-5-P) provides about 33mg. Keep in mind that the upper limit for B-6 is 100mg per day. Therefore, I take 1 or 2 per day at the most if I have symptoms, and I only take 1 per day for maintenance. There are days that I skip it all together, and I am fine as long as I do not go too long without taking the vitamins. One time I went too long (over a week) without and the inflammation started to return. I started taking the vitamins again, and the symptoms disappeared right away. The B-12 and Folate have no upper limit, so you can take more, but I have found that one per day is sufficient. Warning: This form of Folate IS NOT Folic Acid. Folic Acid does have an upper limit and ingesting too much Folic Acid in foods or supplements can be problematic as noted by some studies.It is worth noting that I also take a high-quality multi-vitamin, which contains B-6, B-12 and Folic Acid. As we age, there are some situations where a therapeutic dose might be needed, which means that the amounts in the multi-vitamin are not enough. Empathy and crying at sad things is something I am NOT used to.Before I started taking this, the most common emotions I felt were anger and happiness (odd combo, I know), was kinda chill otherwise, and sometimes felt a kinda repressed empathy. An empathy or sadness that I couldn't really communicate involuntarily the way normal people can. I might feel kinda sad about something most people would be very sad about (relative to myself), but I may not really show it.If most people started crying at something that's 5/10 sad, I would maybe cry if it got to 10/10 sad. I'm not totally emotionless, it just takes a lot more to trigger it.Apparently I've been missing this all my life. For the first time I can remember, I can actually cry when most other people would start crying.For example, before I started taking this, if I watched the video of Botham Jean's brother asking the judge to hug the cop, I would probably feel some amount of sadness, but I wouldn't have cried.AFTER taking this product, I cried like a baby. I mean, I was sobbing when I watched it. I would probably never have done this before.I also had to keep myself from tearing up when I saw a copy of the "Love You Forever" book at my parent's house while I was talking to my mom.I am NOT used to being as sensitive as I've become, but I kinda like it.I feel like Data in Star Trek Generations when he finally gets his emotion chip and Guinan gives him the drink he hates.This may seem like a silly review, but this is one of the few times I can legitimately say a product has literally changed my life. I have chronic neuro lyme and some auto-immune diseases and fatigue and inflammation are my constant companions. I have tried many different brands and types of b-12, folate, and B6 vitamins - including other companies who claim they are selling the activated forms in the past - with absolutely no result whatsoever. With this brand over the past 5 weeks as I have taken of these 3 activated forms (methyl B-12, methyl folate, and P5P (activated form of B6) I have had a marked increase in energy and even decreased my body's inflammation and pain. The P5P taken with unisom at night has also helped me wake up without nausea, which was always horrible in the morning previously (my doctor told me to take b6 and unisom together). The other 2 I take in the morning after breakfast. Capsule is a moderate size, but not too hard to swallow. I will be replacing all my other current supplements - Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Omega 3s, and others - with this brand as soon as I run out of my current bottles.
