Unfortunately for me it’s a “no-go” I was taking chlorella and spirulina Now powder 1tsp. By day three I got very ill nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. I actually thought I had gotten food poisoning from a diner I went to. But a few days later I started back up with the powder and violently ill again. So I said forget it until now over a month later I said to myself let me just take a smaller dose went down to 1/8 tsp of each in spring water and I didn’t even finish only had a few sips within hours nausea and vomiting galore. This bottle of Spirulina Powder from NOW arrives in simple packaging, just the bottle itself. Within the bottle the Spirulina powder is a deep, Dark Green color. The smell of the spirulina is proper, too, not the strongest aroma I’ve encountered, but it does have that typical Spirulina odor. Both the color and the smell are good signs. The powder is very fine and mixes well with things. This stuff isn't flavorless, if you taste the powder, it's like other Spirulina powder out there. Depending on the amount of spirulina you use, the taste is can be over-powered by whatever other flavors you may decide to mix with it. I've used this in my morning shake/smoothie, and it blends fine in there.
