Love this product! I can't tell you how many sweeteners I've purchased that I've used once and tossed. This stuff is great. No gross aftertaste, and no horrible stomach and or digestive side effects. Plus it's natrual so I feel good using it as well as my family. It does have a slight cooling effect but I kind of like it to be honest. I also made my own powdered erythritol in my blender which is WAY cheaper than Swerve. I've used it in making keto pb&j cookies, whipped cream and Keto carrot cake. All came out delicious and my husband had no idea that there was no sugar. Read more
If you follow a keto or low carb diet you are probably familiar with the different sugar alternatives. One of the popular "brands" always mentioned is Swerve. That is the brand name for the sweetener used, which is Erythritol. The "Now" brand is just as good if not better, plus you get almost triple the amount for half the price of the other brand. Also, if you need the confectioners/powdered version for your keto baking, all you need to do is put a cup or so of the Now brand into a blender and pulse for a minute or two. Voila! Instant powdered sweetener without having to spend more.Unlike Stevia which can have a bitter, almost licorice after-taste, and Monk Fruit, which can be pricey and has a vanilla cooling aftertaste (though not entirely unpleasant), Erythritol to me tastes closest to actual sugar, does not cause an insulin spike, has 0 carbs, doesn't cause gastro problems like stevia, maltitol, and unlike Xylitol is safe for pets. As a migraine sufferer, I have to be careful about artificial anything. First and foremost, this product did not trigger any kind of headache. Secondly, but just as important- it tastes like sugar! I use seven teabags to two quarts of water (bottled) and one cup of this sweetener. I boil the tea, steep five minutes. In my tea pitcher, I add the sweetener and some water to help it dissolve as it does take a few stirs. Once I add the hot tea water, any residual sweetener melts away. I also made tropical punch with the erythritol (with some thinly sliced oranges), and it too was delicious. Great product! Read more
Trying to cut traditional sugar from the diet is tricky. Especially with kids. Since finding Erythritol (and Xylitol), it has made things much easier. The only thing I don't much care for is the "cooling effect" that happens with these sugar alcohols. We tried making peanut butter cookies... they tasted almost like mint pb cookies because of the effect. But that's the nature of the sugar alcohol, not a problem with this particular product. However, I used it to make some choc chip muffin tops (with icing) and they were great! The cooling effect was barely noticeable. So yeah, if you're trying to cut sugar, this is one of the options for getting a bit of sweetener without the effect on blood sugar. Read more
My kids and I like this sweetener the best out of all the ones we have tried. It has the same look and texture as traditional sugar. Read more
I'm a die hard sugar fan, but I've been trying to eliminate sugar from my diet. With that being said, I'm a snob when it comes to taste. This is the closest to sugar, concerning taste, that I have tried. I've been adding it to my coffee as a sweeter, and like it better than Stevia or Splenda. I haven't used it in baking yet, but because it is not as sweet as sugar, I think you will need to try out some recipes that call for this stuff in order to gauge the appropriate amount to use as a substitute in recipes that call for sugar. (I haven't found a conversion table yet.)I will definitely be purchasing again. Read more
I found this in granular form, seemed to dissolve slower than other brands. I have a Ninja personal blender. It’s the small version, like a Bullet. It powdered like magic. I filled my blender 1/3 of the way, blended for about 90 seconds, the shook it and repeated. Made perfect powdered erythritol. I haven’t tried powdering any of the other brands I’ve tried, but this one was the best price for the quality. Read more
An amazing find for the low carb dieter. This brand has some of the sweetest tasting Erythritol - I use this to make a number of different desserts. They key is to use strong flavors and use things that are cold if possible. I made lemon panna cotta - lots of lemon zest entirely hid the flavor of the Erythritol. I served this for a dinner party and everyone asked for the recipe. I made a caramel, and while the texture was perfect, the cooling sensation was a little strange. One of the best purchases I have made. Read more
Read more
No endulza absolutamente nada, igual es que me tengo que poner 10 cucharadas en el cafe no lo se, pero desde luego ni con dos ni tres ni cuatro endulza. No me ha gustado absolutamente nada. Read more
