In my job I work from home and work LONG hours at my desk. Being large and sitting so much at times makes backside rather painful. I've owned the cushion for 6 months now.When I started looking for a cushion the size of this cushion appealed to me as it would give me room to move around in my seat. The thickness seemed a bit thick but thought it might help the cushion last longer and perhaps make it a bit more comfortable. When the cushion came in I was VERY happy with it. I lowered my seat just a bit to offset the thickness. Everything was great.Now that I'm 6 months in I'm afraid my opinion for this cushion has changed dramatically. Basically the cushion has collapsed and is no longer effective. Lasting only 6 months and costing $40 I'm afraid for me the cushion just isn't cost effective. So, back to looking for a new cushion. Pros. Universal fit; durable; stays in place; exceptionally comfortable during extended useCons. A tad on the heavy side, something to consider if used for travel. The gel is likely a key factor in the pad’s weight but also it’s exceptional comfort.Bottom line. Also perfectly fits the Drive super light folding transport. This Drive transport model is a terrific for travel but its seat design is exceptionally uncomfortable for extended use. This cushion is perfect for a wheelchair or any chair where support is needed. This cushion is a little higher priced than some others but it is worth it. It has straps to attach it to chair posts or wheelchair sides, It has a nonslip backing and that is a huge plus. The comfort is superior to others tried. Read more

Less tan 3 months the gel has ruptured and is leaking out of the foam cushion. I am not aware of the warranty as it is not in the product description, however, I have contacted the seller. I will update this review based on the seller's actions. Typically sellers of medical equipment stand by their products.UPDATE: The seller did respond but told me the 30-day return period had passed and they couldnot do anything for me. After receiving seat cushion, I found that it was uncomfortable, and slippery. It also raised me up in the seat and interfered with my ability to move the chair around. When I tried to return the cushion, I was told that I could not return it. I explained that I had only sat on it once, and had not opened the plastic cover. To my surprise I was told that I my money would be refunded, and that I could keep it! I feel that Amazon was very fair in this decision. Thank you very much! Read more

I'm using this for driving as I'm 5 feet even and have struggled with a non-adjustable seat in my car. I honestly had some trouble seeing, especially out the back windows to my blind spots. I started using it and immediately had to buy one for my mom (also only 5 feet tall), and she was blown away at the difference just 2 inches of added height made for her driving confidence and comfort. It is comfortable and supportive for long trips or short jaunts around town. I was told by a driving instructor that everyone who is shorter than 5 foot 4 inches should have a 2 inch cushion so that they are at a better height to not only see and avoid craning their neck, but also to be at a more appropriate and safe height for the airbag. Good thickness, padding.. It runs very slightly over the edge of a 16x16 seat. I wish it were plastic/waterproof on all sides instead of only one, since people who need wheelchairs often have some bladder problems. All in all, for the cost, an excellent, good looking product. The good news is, if the non-vinyl side gets wet, it dries quickly. The bad news is, it's a real wrestling match to get the cover off to clean it. I gave up. I would still buy this product. The first pad, 2" thick lasted for over a year. The next 2" pad I purchased broke down within 3 months. The pads I purchased were for up to 2 hundred pounds. I was 185.I purchased the 3" thick pad to accommodate up to 300 pounds. I am 193 now and the pad is breaking down. There are indents where my legs have been & they don't bounce back.
