We have been using this product now for over a year, mainly for our daughter who suffers from ADHD, and some other mentally related issues. We let it lapse one week, just because lack of ordering and out of town and that is where we noticed the big difference. Her language, affect, and overall mood went back to a highly frustrated, short, curt, and even mean language. She does require over the recommended level and is monitored by her psychiatrist. Nordic Naturals was one of the top rated products with the highest levels of EPA for the price that I found.The bottle is 60 capsules, with a recommendations to take 2 capsules each day, for a total supply of 30 days. It took me a full bottle to begin noticing results. Obviously, with a natural supplement you won't notice a result that is unnatural so this can be rather subtle. In this case I really forgot to check in with myself often about how it was lifting and stabilizing my mood, this was actually great for me since it meant I hadn't been so focused on or distracted by anxiety. Rather than dwelling on my mood or ruminating, I was freed up to do my tasks unencumbered throughout the day and later ease into sleep at night. If you find you are still having trouble falling asleep, as I was, you can also look into further supplementing at night with a low dose of melatonin as needed (I use https://amzn.com/B000GG6D9A).I've only noticed the light lemon flavor if I haven't eaten much around the time I've taken them. I usually like the lemon flavored liquid version you can get from the fridge section at Costco, but I kept forgetting to take it and I needed a lot of it to get the amount you get in these pills. After a while it was grossing me out to take.I was intimidated looking at the size of these. Thankfully, I haven’t had any issues with swallowing these, and I’ve read some reviews of other fish oil pills causing gross burps, but I haven’t had this issue either.They are really pricey, but this was my “Hail Mary” last ditch effort attempt at avoiding the anti-depressants my doctor keeps pushing on me. This along with a good women’s multi (Mary Ruth’s), L-theanine and occasionally red Bali, I’ve been able to dramatically improve my depression.
