My toe nails are very thick and hard to cut. Was using a rotary tool to shave down my big toe nails because nothing would work. The nippers and large clippers are able to cut small slivers off the thick nails and get the job done. I still use the rotary tool to file them smooth. The pointed scissors work best when held upside down so it would have been useful to have had some instruction on how to use them. Once I discovered this, they worked really well, very sharp and ideal for thick toenails. However, the flat scissors are a nightmare to use, I cut chunks out of three of my toes using these. Lethal!
