It is not greasy or cakey but nice and smooth and sheer. I like it as I do not have to put on sunscreen for a normal day in addition to it. Pool or beach days you would need more of course. It also lasts quite a long time. When I thought mine had been used up I would shake it a bit and more would come out. It's quite dark for "light," and is far darker than on the model shown and the bottle label and cap. It's also very thick, so I ended up using very little just to not overly darken my face and spread it around. It's also only SPF 15, but I ended up using so little I'm not sure what protection I actually got if any. Bought something else and threw it away. Read more

I was really afraid this would be too light, but it is perfect for a medium skin tone. It blends very well, with fingers or a makeup brush. I actually put a little argon oil on my face before applying and get the smoothest, nicest result. It does not settle into lines/wrinkles. My cream blush blends with this well, also. I am 62. I got Nivea anti-wrinkle tinted mosturizer in Spain about 6 months ago. It worked great on my sensitive skin and caused no breakouts (I'm quite young and don't have any wrinkles yet, so I can't speak to its effectiveness on that score). It's not available in the US, however, so I decided to give this daily essentials tinted moisturizer a try instead. For the price, this is very, very good, though not quite as perfect as the anti-wrinkle version. Specifically, it feels a little thicker and I need more cream to acheive full coverage. I don't know what I would do without this. I put it on every morning just like any other moisturiser. However this one isn't like any other moisturiser because it doesn't leave my skin greasy and shiny.
