This is exactly what you'd expect. We have an older, larger version that cost much more. It's a bit stiffer, so it massages harder, but we like this one better, and I'll share why. This smaller massager is very portable. You can easily fit it in a large purse. It has two different lengths of fingers, which produces a double effect that seems to heighten scalp sensation over older models. I love these things but all of them have a design flaw. My request/desire is that someone would make one with a longer handle and/or a handle that bends so that I can massage my own head without wearing out my arms or hurting my neck, back or shoulder in the process. So about these... Total impulse buy for me. I’m a migraine sufferer and I really wanted the ones that the tips massage (battery operated) but those are super overpriced, I settled for these instead. They feel good for like all of the first 30 seconds and then it just feels like you’re combing your scalp. Maybe it would be a different sensation if someone else used it on me ( the non-battery operated scalp massager) ... so yea. Definitely didn’t need the second one. Good quality though. I keep one on my desk and one next to the T.V. If I start to get a headache, this will often make it go away. It's dumb that I like this so much. I love this! I'll admit at first I thought it was silly, but thought why not give it a try. Oh my heavens....it's well worth it! On the nights I pamper myself this is just great! Relaxing and soothing and relaxes me IMMEDIATELY! I even use it on my daughter when we are having mommy daughter time or when we are just watching a movie together! i believe this is my favorite thing ever!!! my head goes crazy over all the extra massagers! i was sceptical about the quality but honestly these are such good quality, i haven’t seen such good quality ones. from what i’ve seen in all these types massagers i think you need to be careful and not tear around your scalp and apply so much pressure or the wires will spread out and you the plastic ends will fall off and end up hurting your scalp Read more
