I recently had a breast biopsy after breast cancer, it was pretty painful, I ordered these for relief during recovery. These pads get very cold in the freezer, so do not place them directly on your skin! The sleeve was thick to fit between the surgery site and my bra without causing too much pressure, so I used two paper towels folded in half and placed the pad in between. It was soft, comfortable and lasted for 30 to 40 minutes depending on the level of inflammation. If it gets too cold, rub it between your hands or wipe the frost with a dry washcloth a few times then rub the gel to soften it before applying.Would recommend for BC fighters or anyone looking for post surgery relief.(Picture enclosed is the Newgo pad Vs. These small circular icepacks are better than any "regular" icepack....because:1. Easier to handle for "spot icing" aka eyes, tennis elbow2. The "soft side that has fabric" makes it easier to apply directly to skin. No skin freeze.3. Small enough to use two for target, pull next two out of the freezer to keep target area cold.4. Price is perfect5. Comes with a wrap sleeve with pouch for the ice pack. I didn't use it, but others might enjoy this "extra"I have tennis elbow. I been "cycling two packs" into my elbow/arm brace. After 30 minutes, I take the warm packs out, pop two cold ones into the sleeve. Our dog just had knee surgery and needed something for swelling. He's just a hair over 40 lbs, so a medium-sized dog, and these pucks are absolutely the PERFECT size for our purposes. The gel is nice and flexible so it molds around the contours nicely, but they're firm enough to be able to apply good compression. The ace bandage-style wrap with the pocket is fabulous. The pocket is large enough to hold 2 pucks with just enough space between them that it makes it easy to wrap around his knee and inner thigh so we can ice both sides of his knee at the same time and not have to hold the pucks in place. They also stay cold for a good long time. I left them out for about 20 minutes after his 15-minute ice down and they were still plenty cold. They also chill quickly, so they're ready for his next session with no problems. I have not tried them heated yet. I like that they come in a bag to keep them contained and safe from punctures in the freezer. Having them as a 6 pack is awesome, especially for our purposes.He has also had swelling in his upper thigh and his ankle, so I can easily place one on his thigh with the edge tucked into the wrap to keep it in place. The fabric backing is fine for that area and is adequate for skin protection there. For his ankle, I just use a tea towel to give him a little more protection since the hair is so thin there. I can put a puck on the inside and outside of his ankle, too. We have been using 5 pucks at a time and it's been working wonderfully. He seems relaxed and comfortable while getting iced down, so these have been great. The size truly is perfect for the dog, but I know we hoomans will find a good use for them, as well! These gel packs were better than I expected and exactly what I hoped for. I had corrective surgery on my eyes and needed to use ice every fifteen minutes the first few days. Most ice packs I found were hard, oddly shaped and not practical for my needs. This package of gels came perfectly shaped and textured to make my ice packing easier. I was surprised to find an added feature of an elastic stretch band included that had a slot to hold two ice packs {fitting perfectly over my eyes} and a Velcro end to make wrapping around head and eyes so easy. I noted that this could easily be used on other parts of the body ie; legs, arms, hands, wrists, neck etc} needing ice packs. having six of the packs made it easy to rotate in and out of the freezer. The tiny ice packs that never get extremely cold seemed almost useless, at first. But they do stay cold for a bit, anyway, and turned out to be useful. After eyelid surgery, my husband had to ice his face. This did not turn out to be the best option to hold the cold for very long, but the band that comes with it along with a couple of the tiny cold packs, allowed him to protect his stitches while he slept. None of the other options he had, including the pack the hospital sent him home with, worked as well for that. Read more

These are great. Little flexible ice packs usually seem overpriced to me. These are a good deal. They are a tiny bit stiff when fully frozen, but I think their construction is a great balance of flexible and sturdy. I like the freezer storage bag and especially the ace-bandage style wrap with pocket that came with it. I’m very happy with this choice for small cold packs. Yes they are small, that's why you're buying these. Yes they don't stay cold long. That is BECAUSE they are so small and thin. It's also why you get 6 of them. Use 2 at a time and keep the rest in freezer, and keep swapping them out. I strap them on my wrists for arthritis pain and they are just the right size for that, and they're not shockingly cold just... COLD. The wrap they give you isn't the greatest though and I use my own, but I didn't buy it for the wrap at all. Read more

Due to illness I suffer from daily facial and neck pain, I also have severe rash like red outbreaks on my face daily, I have tried facial ice packs but they tend to lose their cool very quickly, so I purchased these great little ice packs, so pleased with them, I can now use two for around half an hour and I can then replace them with other cool ones so giving me loads more cooling time in order to take the ache out of my face. The band that comes with the pads is good, can use really all over the body if required. My poor old crunchy back is always riddled with aches and pains, and these feel lovely! The velcro is a bit loose around my torso so I ended up tying it instead. The warm option is great for my back, while the cold option is good for the swelling in my hands. Very pleased. I used to reduce bruising and pain for self administered subcutaneous injections, holding on one before, and then using a second that had stayed cold long enough to use after.The size was perfect, and the temperature was cold enough using the woven side (the other, colder plastic side, seemed to cause an itch after a while, either frostburn, or allergy?).Having six meant there was some leeway in replacing the warm ones in the freezer.They come in a rectangular protective freezer bag that is wide enough to allow placement in two convenient columns. The bag comes punched with a small hole, so isn't fully airtight.Haven't had a use for the elasticated band. Read more
