My baby doesn't sleep well when lying on her back on flat surface, so we couldn't wait to give it a try. Once we got the item, we let our newborn sleep on it and she loved it. The pillow keeps her head straight up which was nice (she tends to sleep on one side and made her head kind of flat ). We took off the bottom part because we didn't want her to sleep with legs propped up and it worked well. The material was not as soft as we would like but are sufficient. I felt some roughness on the memory foam part as I caress my palms over it. Wish the exterior was removable so I don't have to throw the entire thing in the washer though. This newborn lounger is well-made, soft, and lightweight. The colors are appealing and very gender-neutral. My baby often turns his head to one side so we bought this in the hopes of him keeping his head straight. Overall he is definitely comfortable in this lounger. My little one loves the Boppy but I'm not sure how good it is for his posture since it kind of sinks down. Enter this baby lounger! It's still really soft (I think it's made of memory foam) and is sculpted in a way to comfortably hold and support the baby, but is also very firm. Our little one seems to like it so far!
