This seemed to take about 2.5 hours to charge the first time. I was concerned and emailed the company. They got back to me within 12 hours and was willing to replace it! But once charged it works great. The scent pad doesn’t smell or snap into the unit. I’m not sure it’s supposed to snap on but I know it is supposed to smell. I’m not sure it’s that important to me. I’ve been so sick with allergies and headaches for the last month. I’ve used this six times now and I’m already feeling better. I do wish I would have purchased the corded one though instead of this one. Only because of the water choices. This one only uses sterile water whereas the other unit can use distilled water. I have been experiencing sinus issues for about a year. My sinuses would simply close down with little or no mucus. I tried decongestants, antihistamines, and nasal washes. All of those measures provided limited but short term relief. Love the whole unit. I have the wireless so it is extremely easy. The mask is comfortable and the mist is nice and full. The eucalyptus aroma helps to clear your Basel passages. I carefully followed the directions for set up & first use of Mypurmist. It got very hot and produced steam, but smelled badly of "plastic". I tried the temperature control and the heat reduced to nothing. The fan was running the whole time. After 5 or 6 hours I tried it again, but it did not get hot at all. Wrote detailed complaint to the company. Got "canned" instructions to "prime" it by putting water in the top. Tried 3 times (as directed) but unit never got hot. Put more water in as directed & let sit overnight. Still no good. Company offered to replace the unit. When I said, "no." they offered new unit plus extra water packets. Nice, but I just want my money back. It should not be on the customer to "prime" defective units. I think the unit burned out when I first turned it on, but the service person insisted that could not be the case. This device was literally a lifesaver during my battle with COVID-19. There were some scary moments where I could not breath and this device helped immensely. The portability was nice to carry around from room to room. The best steam you get is between 15-20 mins so try to do a steam session for around this amount of time. This is the second unit and both of them broke! the first one stop producing steam after about 3 mounth and was too late to get credit because Amazon give us only 30 days. The second one I bought begenning of november so Now I can not be credited because its more than one mounth, so they are offering me to exchange it but, if this one brakes again in a few mounths, all loose again my $$! It doesn’t work. I have a sinus problem and I bought this because the advertisement said that they would fix my sinus problem but it just doesn’t work. It was also damaged when it arrived. It is made out of plastic and it has a rubber face plate, it was popped out when it arrived and I wasn’t able to get it back in, this is not a good product. Read more
