My husband suffers from eczema and in general, very dry skin and scalp. This stuff stinks to high heaven. I mean it is really awful. And it does not suds up very much at all. I apply it to the scalp area only and really rub it in. Then I use a different shampoo for the ends of my hair. I leave it in for the whole shower and then rinse. And rinse. And rinse. The more you get out the less it smells. I follow it up with a yummy smelling conditioner.This stuff has really worked wonders on my scalp. I used to have a terrible itchy rash all over my head and behind my ears. I have seborrheic dermatitis and have come to the conclusion that there isn’t really anything to cure it. I have some steroid creams that my MD has prescribed, and I use this shampoo now in between to try and use something in between. I can’t say for sure that its helping, but I doubt its hurting me.Also seems reasonably priced, so I will continue buying and using this product.Anyone else dealing with this form of dermatitis, I wish you the best. My hair used to get very oil within 24 hours after each wash, and it got itching and smell after 24 hours after washing hair. There are also a lot of little fat pimples grow in my scrap, I am used to clean the fat pimple everyday. But after use this shampoo, my hair wouldn't get oil and smell even for 3 days after use it. Works wonders against itchy, dry, flaky scalp, but smells awful at first it takes some getting used to. Be sure to follow up with a moisturizing conditioner because it does dry out your hair and the conditioner will get rid of the smell. I use teatree mint conditioner from Spa Haus it works great, I also use sulfa 8 hair grease occasionally as well and as of right now my scalp I am dandruff and itch free and I am back to my normal hair care routine. Normally I'm very picky regarding this, but unfortunately this is the only thing I've found that works for my sometimes very itchy scalp.
