It works great, I have medium tone skin (half white and half Indian) so natural beige makeup and more golden tones in skin. I have darker skin under my eyes, so I dab this concealer under my eyes and just tap it on with a small sponge or my pinky finger. Then put some foundation over it. There's such a big difference from before when I only used foundation!! Supposedly works great for anyone olive to medium to darker skin tones! Orange for dark spots and green color correct for any red areas on skin.If you are more fair skin toned, look up on youtube what colors you need. I'm n9 expert, but the orange/peach and green may not work for you. Read more
It doesn’t hide the red. It also leaves some residue on my skin. Read more

If you are new to using a corrector like me, this will be a trial and error practice. I think instructions or tips should be included with the product. Not everyone is familiar with this type of make-up. Heck, even most good mascaras come with application tips. Until I watched a couple of videos on how to properly use corrector, I had no idea of the proper technique. So thinking this was just another type of concealer, I applied it to a dark spot on my hand for a test. It went on like paint and I’m like: “who has skin color like this?” I’m immediately thinking one star review. After a few online videos, here’s what I found:-Corrector is the second step in counteracting dark blemishes, dark circles, and shadows.-There’s a whole color corrector palette so you’ll need to find your color that will be opposite of the area that you are trying to correct. If you have a deeper skin tone, the orange based correctors are the correct choice. If you have a lighter skin tone, the lighter pinks or peach colors work best.-First step is to hydrate the trouble area with a good moisturizer and let it absorb.-Next, apply the corrector. Do not use the applicator brush. It applies way too much for what is actually needed and is simply a waste of product. Simply put a small dot on your finger and start dabbing the area you are trying to correct. The corrector is meant to go on thin, not as a cover-up, so don’t keep applying even if the dark area is vaguely coming through.-Follow with your concealer as you normally would and blend the two together. This is where the corrector kicks in to help balance the skin tones. If you haven’t used a corrector or are a novice, I suggest looking at some online videos. There are some good ones out there that really help.My rating is 3 stars. Not because it’s a bad product. Neutrogena is one of the better make-up products on the market. I deducted one star for lack of instructions/tips, and I deducted one star for the big ol’ applicator brush that isn’t needed and wastes product. Otherwise, this is a five star product. Read more
his comes with no outer product box, which I expected since in store they don’t have outer product boxes. But, I did expect some kind of seal, like a piece of sticker over where it opens and the bottom and top separate. There wasn’t anything like that. I hate that, but honestly, it is probably how it comes when purchased in store. With it like that with no seal to tell if it’s been opened, I think I feel better getting it from Amazon where chances are good nobody has opened it up and tried it out by swatching it or anything, whereas in drugstores people seem to do that all the time, see it’s not for them and put it back or they do see it’s for them but want a “new” one so they put the one they tested back and grab a different one 🤦♀️ It’s one thing I hate about drugstores. So, I honestly think I feel better about getting it on Amazon when it has no seal than if I got it in store. After opening it, it looks fine. It didn’t appear as if it had been opened before. There wasn’t any product on the rim or top inside part where it easily gets when you pull the applicator out.I have a lot of redness on areas on my face, so when I color correct I usually use a green corrector. I am fair skinned, so when I first started color correcting, I used to always try light pink, pink, light peach, and/or peach colored correctors. However, they never seemed to help under my eyes like they did for most people. It wasn’t until I looked really closely at my under eyes and realized that they weren’t black, brown, blue, and/or purple, which are colors you’d use pink and peach to correct. They were red, dark red, and in the darkest a maroonish dark color. So, I thought, well for red I’d use green so I’ll try that. It worked great. I finally was able to cancel out the darkness under my eyes with just a tiny bit of green color corrector and get away with just a little bit of concealer over it. So that solved that problem. But, I have sun spots on my temples and cheekbones and those are such a pain to cover up. No matter how full coverage a foundation or concealer is, they ALWAYS seem to peek through and it drives me nuts! So, I started looking around to see what was best to conceal sunspots, which led me back to color correcting and back to peach correctors.Since I’m fair skinned for a peach kind of corrector I’d use pink, light peach , or peach. I wouldn’t normally go for darker peaches or oranges. Unfortunately with this I only had the option to get the deep peach. On top of that, I wouldn’t call this peach at all, even deep peach. To me this is more of a burnt orange color. So, in most cases a dark (or in this case s deep) peach would be darker then I’d need with my pale complexion. But this being more burnt orange it’s definitely darker than I should use. I use more foundation/concealer to cover the burnt orange color than I would just to cover my sun spots. Granted, with foundation/concealer the sun spots still peek through and a color corrector should stop that. But, it’s too dark for me, which makes me end up using so much foundation/concealer to cover the dark orange color, that I might as well skip it and use that much foundation/concealer to cover my sun spots. But, the fact it’s too dark for me isn’t the products fault. That’s my own fault because I knew it looked too dark for me, but figured I’d try it anyways. I can at least judge how the formula is.This seemed VERY liquidy when I first pulled out the applicator. But, when I put it on I let it sit just for a second and then went to blend it out and it already seemed to be setting. That surprised me! Usually with products that seem liquidy you have a good amount of time to work. It is pretty thin but has a ton of pigment. It blends out easily, but you need to work VERY quickly because it does start to set FAST. It looks a little too dry on my skin for my liking. If you like matte products, you’d probably like this. I have normal to dry skin, more on the drier side with some extremely dry areas. So, I prefer using products that aren’t so matte that they look dry on my skin. Even if I moisturize my skin really well beforehand it still looks dry.Overall, this just isn’t for me. Even if I got a color that worked for me, I don’t like how it looks on. It just looks too dry on me. I definitely wouldn’t want to use this under my eyes! Those already get pretty dry looking with concealer if I don’t moisturize a ton under my eyes before applying concealer, and still need concealers that are more hydrating and not too matte. This is just way too matte for me. But, it has good pigment so would color correct well if you get a color that works for you and don’t mind that it dries down matte. So, I give it 4 stars. Read more
